Tanking doesn't really work like that anymore. They could go 1-82 and get only a 5th overall pick

If spurs can’t trade for young guns with bright future like morant then it’s better to tank and hope to land top 3 picks in the draft..

but they need to..unless they get some impossible trades to acquire superstars…or even get superstars from free agency..San Antonio isn’t a free agent magnet.

so only chance to get back to contention is to tank and get top 3 picks..
