The translation of this is: "this country isn't the conservative bastion I liked, and now I feel left out"... that's actually excellent news.

There is no problem, you have a problem because you're unable and/or unwilling to adapt socially/culturally.
We're far from a perfect society, that's always been historically the case. However, we're far, far better (temporary pandemic notwithstanding) than we were 50-60 years ago, and any time prior. I mean, far far better by any measurable standard (economic, health, science, tech).

We both live in the same world. There's no madness about it. Again, your unwillingness/inability to adapt to change is your own problem.
The historical norm has been steady cultural and social shifting and evolution, sometimes we agree with it or not, but it won't stop, so adapting is just the default.
The dinosaurs can only push back for so long and live bitter lives, but eventually they go away. It's always the same.

I agree that we have come a long way. My dad grew up poor in east Texas, was a fighter pilot in WW2 and Korea and was an unabashed racist. We all learn from our parents and try not to repeat their bad qualities.
We learn the good and the bad. With very few exceptions, there's both qualities in most every person.
