Mexican heart does it again. Overcame every single physical disadvantage you can think of with the Aztec warrior blood that flows through his veins.
This dude was +400
¡Mi hermano Ruiz se veía como Muhammad Ali anoche! ¡Sacudió el mundo!

Was only a matter of time, tbh. Anybody who saw Joshua fight over the years knows he can't take huge punches well. My boy, Eduardo's ( LkrFan ) o has been in enough taco stand brawls to put joshua to sleep
Dude never looked outmatched or rattled in the fight. That second knock down in the 3rd was great. He slowed down with a slight step back, then came in quick with two hard shots. Great work using offset speed.
See his training videos. I'd say he's more naturally athletic than Joshua. He's quick and nimble, while Joshua moves around like a stiff. Only disadvantage was height/reach. Like I always say, fat=/=unathletic. Looking like a bodybuilder or being shredded doesn't mean .
Also said in a reply that Ruiz is actually more athletic than Joshua and looks to be better technically. Fury was on to something saying he's a bodybuilder first, boxer second .
Fat people being allowed to box. They have an inherent advantage in that they can put their whole body weight into their punches while also being able to absorb punches well.
Their only drawback and its a big one is that they gas early but it doesn't matter if you take care of business in the early rounds.
Ironically, I think a 240lb strongfat boxer, like Ruiz, likely has better stamina than a 240lb shredded boxer, since muscle consumes more oxygen than fat. Ruiz seemed to have much better cardio in the fight.
Heavyweights always have a lot of fat. It always seems a "get a good flurry in" game in that division. Versus in Middle/Welter, it seems all about athleticism and boxing prowess/skills, and all the best matched fights go the full 12 to a decision
Yep, a few fighters have mocked his physique like vlad. He's a good boxer but he isn't a 12 round boxer who can take a beating.
Ruiz has stamina because he walks around in his fighting weight, Joshua probably cuts 20lbs for the fight. That's why Floyd has great stamina, he always walked around at 148-152. Wilder stays close to weight as does fury, but Joshua would be too slow with the fat + muscle.
British boxers just don’t have the same edge that Americans/Mexicans have.
If he was born in the US, how is he the first Mexican heavyweight champ?
