Laird and anyone but Wilson from the bullpen. Do it!
Laird to Cubs?

New York Post - One indicator that a Mark Teixeira trade to Atlanta is near and that Texas will get Jarrod Saltalamacchia is that the Rangers are talking to teams about their starting catcher, Gerald Laird.
The Cubs have interest in Laird and Rangers relievers, and might include center field prospect Felix Pie to get that.
Laird and anyone but Wilson from the bullpen. Do it!
I really like Felix Pie, the kid has a cannon for an arm.
Didn't the Cubs get Jason Kendall from the Athletics to fill the void left by Barrett?
yes they did, that would make acquiring Laird as well very questionable
Damn, if the Braves get Teixeira, that is going to be sick. 2-3-4-5-6 spots will be solid. Renteria, Chipper, Tex, Andruw, Francoeur/McCann
Why are we going after CF's when Marlon Byrd is clearly the sound choice with Wilkerson and Cruz/Cat playing lf/rf. This trade makes no sense to me.
Pie is a 22 year old stud CF with a cannon for an arm.
Wilkerson sucks and is a FA after this season.
Cat is a 33 years old and only has 2 years left on his contract.
As for Cruz, who knows how he is going to pan out. He did not have the best of seasons this year.
I would much rather have an OF of Pie, Byrd, and Cruz next year rather than, Bryd, Wilkerson, Cruz/Cat.
This trade makes perfect sense for the Rangers, which mean JD will probably not make this happen.
Torii Hunter is coming to town this offseason to play CF.
Rangers have had some spare/washed up CF's over the years: Otis Nixon, David Hulse, Tom Goodwin, Kenny Lofton, Lance Nix, Ramon Nivar among others
yup, keep trading for prospects that will never develop.
That strategy has worked wonders for the Royals.
