One thing I keep seeing is how many places make people line up to get into the store. One supermarket was only letting a handful of people into the store.

I just have one question, what do they think they're doing my making people queue up while waiting to get in?

The lines aren't short and they're not spaced out.

I just find this situation funny because conservatives sure are singing a different tune about capitalism right now. Even Dear Leader, via the defense production act, is behaving socialist. That said, I'm a capitalist, but not a total capitalist. There's some areas where it's just incompatible due to serious conflicts of interests.
Yeah, the fig leaf has been ripped off a lot of ins utions that weren't working all that well in the first place.

There is your shutdown challenge. Understand all the technical stuff in there. (bookmarks) Fun weekend project. I got a lot of that stuff, but there is enough vocab to occupy a few days.
Well I've been reading these studies for a couple of months. I've had to google a lot. Still will never reach a level of full understanding unless I wanted to pursue a PhD, which I don't.

    +1

Inheirited a lot of mom's food hoard, but Dad and I still need eggs and stuff once per week. Probably enough canned goods to not have to go to the store at all for a month.

At some point, I have to wonder "is it really worth it to get X"? increasingly... those gravy packets look more and more edible. heh
Funny thing is we live on 7 acres and have 16 chickens so we get at least a dozen eggs a day. Before this we couldn't give enough of them away and I fed a lot of them to my dogs. Now everyone wants them and my wife takes them all to work to give away everyday, always saying we'll have more for us tomorrow. Sixteen chickens I can't make a ing omelette for breakfast during the week wtf.

    Piece of hobby lobby.

I wonder if you can get unemployment if your POS employers fire you because you refused to work during a pandemic for a business that clearly isn't essential. I know you can't get EI here if you do get fired.

lol Hindsight expert will be a career description by the end of this pandemic
We had a team of experts. Trump got rid of it.
We had a plan. Trump lost it.
We had a practice. Trump turnover got rid of 70% of the people who took part.
We had calls for more practice. Trump's yes men ignored them.
We had an CDC expert embedded in Chinese ministry to coordinate. Trump got hid of him.

    https://imgur.com/uzcmQF9?fbclid=IwA...jFbVmyM1jMUn7w

Didn't need hindsight. We knew what do to from day one.

Trump bungle ed every step of the way, playing down the threat until it got so bad the grown ups had to re-assert themselves. Loyalty and ideological purity over competence.

ing idiot conservative voters love ing idiots.

Why do conservatives think morons make good leaders?

Good point. At the HEB stores here in SA, they keep people apart before you enter. You can't go in until they disinfect the cart and tell you to go in. At checkout, there's spaces on the floor to let you know where to stand.

It's not perfect, but better than nothing.

Is Snakeboy part of that solid 40% Trump base? I thought he was a soft supporter like CC. Flexible when needed, etc.

Trump and his admin has since been handling the crisis more serious now but you cant be defending their actions---or inactions since February when they were actually briefed on the virus and were told this could get bad and they brushed it off as a hoax. Then later played it down to it being just like the flu.

SB is obviously intelligent. I would lay odds he checks the box for him both times though. Too embedded in the conservative echo chamber to do otherwise. He is a slave to his confirmation bias, like most conservatives.

He will vote for Trump, but not defend him, because he is smart enough to know Trump is a POS.

    My guess.

    Capitalism bad now.

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bronso...demic-n2566277

But props to Dear Leader for his second stopped clocked moment during this show. Also, been saying this for years. The profit motive and saving lives is fundamentally incompatible. This 3M situation is an example of that.
The masks will still save lives. They just won't be American lives.

Lots of Americans didn’t get it directly from China but indirectly from places like Italy, Iran, etc.

Trump is incredibly flawed but the reason I don't spend time defending him on here is because it's a waste of time. You'll be voting for Joe Biden's corpse no matter what and Trump's getting 4 more years.

Yeah, I know. I'm sure a lot of NYC was seeded from Italy, but Italy was seeded from China.

47% is not exactly bragging rights. That's a whopping 2 points better than what he has been the last 4 years.

Didn't busch himself have an 90+ percent approval rating during 9/11? Trump cant manage 50% during this crisis.

    Long way from November though.

I love how everyone is now turning into a nationalist during a pandemic. 3m apparently needs to prioritize American lives over the lives of people in other countries. I'm just wondering what happened to all the bleeding hearts.

Woulda worked out much better with a responsible, serious president.

Sorry your Trump is such a failure.

But you don't want to talk about that....
