    Jalen Lecque

    School: Brewster Academy
    Position: SG/PG
    Age: 18
    Height: 6-foot-4.25
    Weight: 185.2
    Wingspan: 6-foot-8.5
Draft Range: Second Round to Undrafted
    Combine Results? Yes

Why: Can jump out of the arena. His 43-inch max vertical was the best at the combine. Mixtape wunderkind. Isn't afraid to use his jumping ability to finish at the rim, sky for rebounds or go after blocks. Quality court vision; had a few slick passes during the combine. Ball-handling also appears to be a strength. Plays with aggression. Might have gotten a promise from a team.

Why Not: Basically an unknown at this point. Still in high school but is old enough to enter the draft. Very little to go on scouting-wise. Played well during one scrimmage at the combine and then stopped playing. Stats hard to come by but from what is available, his shooting is a major question mark. Appears to be a 20% three-point shooter and a 65% free throw shooter. Shooting form is poor.

Spurs Fit: Might consider buying a forever home in Austin. Down the road, the Spurs would have to figure out if he's a SG or PG.

Cir stances sound similar to Exum entering the draft. Speaking of Exum could Chip teach him to shoot. That and Pop’s system would be beneficial to him and Spurs.

Thanks for starting a thread on him. He's an athletic freak, and he's got a lot of confidence - reports say he showed well at the combine and really looks like he belongs. I would love to see the Spurs spend 49 on him, just for the tremendous upside. I don't know enough to guess about throwing 29 at pure upside speculation, but he's definitely a swing for the fence.

    Forever home in Austin.

    Great find, ace3g

Lecque is one of those players who if the Spurs pick, we'll have to be really excited about because that'll mean he interviewed well and impressed during individual workouts.
