Brand should be a top free agent target. If we can't afford the likes of West, Al Jeff and Millsap then Brand is the obvious choice.

Meh. Like Dice was, I think he's past his "sell by" date.

Brand is a mid range shooter and rebounder
not great defensively but could be a solid backup

I think so 2 and Spurs have a Brand in Diaw.
Diaw isn't "done" yet, being only 31, he's just passive as .

Me, personally? Neither. Blair will never re-sign here, anyway. He's wanted out since last summer.

Bump. Anyone having any thoughts on Brand now that the offseason is a little closer. I didn't catch much of him this season, so anyone who saw him with the Mavs, did he fall completely off a cliff this season or would he be worth a look?

I'd take Brand of 4 years ago, but this model is broken.

So you're saying that Brand's cooled down too much to make his mark now?

I follow him this season and he was a little irregular. Some good games, some very bad games.
    I say no.

“You know, free agent-wise, of course I’d like to be back,” Brand said. “Like I said, .500 for this organization, that’s definitely a failure. I don’t want to be a part of that. It left a bad taste, so I definitely want to be here on a winning team and try to rectify what happened this season if possible." NBA.com

NY Post: The Knicks also want to add a backup big because of Amar’e Stoudemire’s uncertain health. Two local products, Elton Brand and Lamar Odom, are targets. The Knicks also will entertain re-signing Kenyon Martin.
