Yikes.. I may have to take back all the positives I said about this offseason. Any minutes given to Forbes over our young guys (including the rookies) would be colossally stupid and Pop was probably the driving force behind this signing. There was a reason why he was benched in the playoffs and there is zero justification to bring him back unless he's simply there to towel wave and help the rookies assimilate to the Spurs way.
We have no room at the guard spot and I fear Pop will play him to detriment of the team.. sigh.

If we are to believe rumors that Pop is retiring after the Olympics (and I strongly believe they’re credible), then I believe the chance of Forbes being a rotation player, much less a starter next season, are rather low.
I doubt Becky, or whoever replaces Pop, would make the same foolish mistake as he did.
