God, another 19 tonight..
Westbrook with 10 to keep him in the top 3, let's not sell him short, tbh..
Singler, Datome and Smith or the rest of the entire young athletic and feisty Pistons couldn't stop KD at all. They tried just about everything and were unsuccessful. Thus, the fouls. The rest of the NBA should know there is no way to stop KD. Man on a mission. Yall are witnesses.
Another 19 tonight goodness gracious. I hope someone makes a compilation/analysis video eventually of how he draws all these fouls.
No one here watched the Detroit game. KD was THAT dominant over every pistons defender and they fouled the out of him all night. Fact. The level of ignorance on this board is alarming.
At this point you guys should be worried that OKC now has a solid 7 footer center. Steven Adams is legit.
The current pistons ain't any better than a D-League team imho. They're going full tank-mode and they didn't even try to stop anyone
You don't find it odd that it happens that often?
That's ignorant as . Pistons are far from great but they have some legit players on that roster. Like I said, noone watched this game. They just make dumbass comments and assumptions
he's THAT good
you reach I teach
Oh I know he gets the BS superstar calls and I know there have been games where people might have a legit complaint, but the thing is, people here assume that everytime KD has a high FT game, it's all BS. Well, it's really not. KD truly gets fouled a lot. LIke I said, I realize there have been games where he's gotten too many BS calls, but honestly there's a lot of games he's just flat out getting hammered.
Durant only got 17 FTA today compared to 18 FGA. He's probably disappointed that he took more shots from the field than from the stripe
disclaimer: i actually watched the full game today and he did get hacked quite a bit. but he did get a couple of trademark bail out fouls from jump shots
After tonight's game... Durantula and DHo are neck and neck for the top spot with 96 FTA both....
Houston has played 9 games, OKC 7.
yeah but Dwight is literally running away from people to avoid free throws, and he's still that close to Durant?
Frogbrook pretty high up there it seems as well, minus the acne problem.
I remember a few years ago, I did a FTA prediction model depending on number of shots taken from outside and inside using stats from 82games.com (e.g. http://www.82games.com/1314/13OKC7.HTM)
Perhaps I will do something similar at the end of this year if I have time ....
Or maybe someone else can take it on. Just do the following:
1) Take all the stats from the players (total FGA x by the percentages outlined in 82games.com)
2) Do a correlation model with FTA, then do a prediction model using the stats
3) Compare prediction with actual
4) Rank the players based on the difference per FTA.
The analysis itself takes a few minutes, but the data gathering takes forever. I wish 82games.com has a database like basketball-reference.com.
After tonight's games...
Durant: 105 FTA (8 GP)
Howard: 104 FTA (10 GP)
But he gets hacked
That number
"You reach, I teach"
More like "the ref pretends you reached, I shoot more free throws than Dwight"
Damn son. Hack-a-Dwight, now starting in 2nd quarter, plus 2 more games played. Dwight still can't catch Durant.
