Should have traded Parker for Payton, circa 2001.

This summer has been a BAMA wet dream.
HOYA v. BAMA (for those who weren't here):

I'm still a Trust In The Spurs ( S) guy.
Ghost Writer, c'mon son
Let me go tell him on Facebook to come to this thread.
I'll go to Burger King and tell rascal to check this thread too.
Prior to the floodgates, the last premium Free Agent the Spurs signed after a good season was Terry mings- GSG
I wanted to wait until things were official on July 9.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that San Antonio would become a desired destination of choice for coveted free agents during an offseason.
There are a few things that make the signings of L. Aldridge and D. West so special to me:
- Leonard and Green are re-upped, maintaining the young perimeter
- Duncan and Ginobili accepted meager salaries in a time where Carmelo and Kobe have selfishly hamstrung their franchises
- Duncan giving the Admiral "pass the torch" speech to LA
- That these free agents came here to WIN first and foremost -- not necessarily for big money, market or fame
I almost can't believe that this is real life.
P.S.
To my dear friend -- the original SpursFan -- please consider tweaking your handle to me LaMarcus Bryant. Godspeed.
Holy , I forgot about him. That will be so angry at this offseason despite the Spurs doing EXACTLY what he always says they won't/can't
Those were good ole days son.
The offseason acquisitions are really quite astonishing, particularly D. West coming here for pennies.
I was expecting the Spurs to threaten for the le after the Clippers loss next season without adding LA.
I still can't believe this is the world we live in now.
Believe it. Long time. This place needs a rejuvenation.
