Have black athletes in America eclipsed black rappers in America as the most delusional demographic in Western Civilization? Reason #1 why I have lost interest in NBA and NFL. These are downright unlikeable human beings.

Nobody has to play pro football/basketball whatever. , go out and get a real job, one where nobody gives a damn about you, just shut up and do the job.

I'll chop a finger off if that's what it took to play in the NFL. Oh my God not a zoo animal...sheesh~~~~

These guys need to simply keep their mouth shut and thank God they aren't out there in the real work world. Poor babies, making more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ than their whole family tree ever made.

Very sad story. A man pursuing a dream he voluntarily chose and making millions and millions of dollars to do so. The similarities to a zoo animal is striking.

In his book....Catch This, Terrell Owens talks about being raised by mom and granny. Had no idea who his dad was.

Well he'd finally find out, his dad was living right across the street with another family. So here comes Christmas, his dad tells him.....sorry, but money is tight, will have to buy for just my family. Think about that.

So many stories of blacks having to deal with that kind of upbringing. Sports actually saved them from a life of low paying jobs, living from pay day to pay day. And they want to complain, what?????

I'd be whatever animal they wanted to send the checks to.

My guess is that there'd be a lot of people willing to line up and take his place.

I toured a factory in the upper Midwest where the workers punch in in the morning, go to their assigned stations, and perform a single repe ive task all day long, in a fully enclosed building without windows, while a single flashing red light in front of them indicates whether they are moving at the correct, designated pace. If they move too slowly the light grows brighter, and flashes faster, until they get back on task. A horn sounds for a 30 minute lunch break, with a 5 minute (timed) morning and afternoon bathroom break, again signaled with a sounding horn. Otherwise their days are spent occupying the same 4 square-foot space, doing the exact same task. Pavlov-inspired...no human communication with management unless you f'up your duties, and then it's just to escort you out while they plug in your replacement. All this fun pays around $13 an hour, which, hopefully, will pay the rent for a mobile home space and some scraps to feed the family if the spouse is chipping in.

I'd say there are some existences where the zoo animals are better off.

The NFL had a good scab experiment, but good luck trying that with the NBA.

Its cool to make money with music and sports, but there are also thousands of other legal gigs people can do to get quite wealthy without needing permission.
