Yeah, it'll be a lot slower for Slovenians.
Yeah, it'll be a lot slower for Slovenians.
Actually i was just joking, it's not really noticeable.
To the Founders and Admins,
Thank you so much!
Mabuhay from the Philippine Islands!!!
Sir timvp, thank you Sir for bolding me.....
Yihhhhhhhhhaaaa!!!
From Australia, I’ve been reading this forum for longer than I can remember (maybe back when Mike Finley was signed?) in a time when NBA wasn’t popular in Aus and it’s been a great way to find spurs info, analysis and discussion. Cheers to you all
Welcome aboard mate.......
My only issue is personal, I prefer lurking 😉 But thank you Kori and timvp for maintaining this place 👍
Look at it this way: At least the site won't get bombarded and slowed by hundreds of guests every time Pop says something mean about Trump.
Yeah butwhat is the real reasoning for banning lurking?
I dont believe saving bandwidth is a good reason as the bandwidth delta with lurkers must be minimal
any strategy that brings SpursWoman and mrsmaalox out of hiding is a good strategy
Hi!
You can be logged in, but have your settings on invisible, so that you can still lurk.
Control Panel > General Settings > Invisible Mode on
I feel you should still be able to view the forum when not logged in. It helps forum noobs to lurk for a while before you join, getting to know the place and the people so you don't get caught up arguing with the forum trolls and whatnot.
Also I never liked being coerced into things... makes me feel manipulated!
I may only have a few posts but i believe i already have a good feel for everyone here due to my previous lurking.

No issues on phone. But when I try logging in on laptop, I submit my username/password, get a thanks for logging in FkLA pop-up, but it never actually logs me in. Just takes me back to the previous screen.
It's a chromebook using Chrome, FWIW.
edit: nvm it worked now but I had to try to log in like 10 times tbh
Same happened to me on Opera and Chrome after switching networks. It kept showing me as not logged in on the home page but when I clicked on a thread I was able to go to it and I was actually logged in.
Look up one post...
Interesting. Will look into it. Thx.
Yup we need more explanation into this move tbqh
I'm sure a lot of the traffic was just bots. No need to enable them.
I guess millions of bots could cause plenty traffic
Thanks
It's a move done for a mul ude of reasons, one of which being security of the forum due to vulnerabilities in vBulletin. It's nonoptimal but it has to be this way from now on. The other option was shutting down SpursTalk, tbh.
Ah, figured it out. Fixing now. Thanks.
Edit: Fixed. That won't happen anymore.
