It would make a of a lot more sense than having two Dakotas.
It was the GOP packing the Senate, that time.

What's so extreme and nutty about the idea of the citizens of Washington, DC having voting representation in the US Congress just like you and me?
Not going to argue one way or another but DC residents get some unique benefits as well current system including in state tuition and priority admission on many other states. The capital was set up by design to have a separate government system for neutrality etc. They also benefit from huge federal workforce and funding versus them having to support with taxes. I can see other side so this I believe needs an amendment process and likely will be a prolonged discussion one way or another. I personally see a stronger possible argument for PR at this point.

If Dems have their way, I'm sure liberal San Antonio and Houston would also break off from TX and become states of their own, with more senators to stack the deck.
You are really stupid, but I guess that goes along with hating yourself for knowing how weak and afraid you are.

do you have calf tats too?

what a disingenuous pile of nonsense. Just because you try to pretend you’re nothing more than a rw parrot, and attempt to qualify everything to make it appear your canned talking points have additional merit, doesn’t deflect from the fact you’re nothing more than a thought for parrot

    "needs an amendment process"

granting statehood requires only a simple majority, not a Cons utional amendment which would never pass (2/3 of each chamber, 3/4 of the states)

Bingo. The issue is not representation, it's about stacking the deck.
That's the problem? It's okay; it's already functioning as a district.
Red team complaining about stacking the deck?

A law to make DC a state will be challenged in court, and ultimately will be overturned by the conservative-majority Supreme Court on the grounds that the original intent of the 23rd Amendment was to grant electors to all of DC, and not to a small rump federal district. Since it would a cons utional amendment to restore the original intent, it takes a cons utional amendment to make DC a state and the statute is uncons utional.

Kagan and Breyer issue a stern dissent. Sotomayor issues her own dissent, flirting with calling her colleagues racist.

(views post out of mild curiosity)

I am smarter than you in any measure.

I will have, and have had, a happier life, and be surrounded by more people that love and care for me when I am on my deathbed.

Nothing you can say will change that truth, unless you fundamentally change in some way.

Sorry, and I will always feel sorry for you and Derp for that. It is sad.
Lol!!! This where we’re at in here nowadays eh?

Meh, Republicans killed a cool 200K Americans needlessly.

    Even some whites.

To me, it's a pressing issue to never allow them to do that again.

    YMMV

    Solid take.

Republicans would be so virulently opposed. Says volumes IMO.
