For the Lakers this is a massive gamble on one year with Anthony Davis & LeBron James. I say gamble because all you have to do is look back at their recent history—the Dwight Howard, Steve Nash trades— to see how this could go very wrong. But if it goes right....!?
That’s why the forum is slow

Monster haul for David Griffin and the Pelicans. They maximized the AD trade without needing a third team. History of Griffin deals typically include strong pick protections, which could made trade even better. And now, LeBron gets his second star in LA. Here we go.

And y'all owe CP0 $400 million over the same timeframe
Any idea of what protections there are on the 2 future firsts?
They took our "trash" benefactor
Faster; the Laker tools coming from under their rock piles or Laker tools retreating to their rock piles after this tanks?
Lakers still have enough room for 1 more max slot. i wonder if they'll blow their wad on Butler and fill out the roster with D-league players. would make more sense to stretch that money around and fill the roster with good players around James/AD
Wow Pelinka should get Executive of the Year for trading the #4 and a bunch of crap for an in his prime Hall of Famer. Plus the Lakers should have around $28 million in capspace after. Might be able to get Kemba Walker to take a base salary of $4 million less than he's eligible for to play for a le in LA. They look like the best team in the West next season though. What a ing rape, I can't believe Griffen took it without getting Beal.
DeadlyDynasty man, need to update the thread le to Lakers: Send nobody to New Orleans for Anthony Davis.
tou-che, salesman
Lakers do it time and time again. MVPau and now this
Denver beat lakers if Denver as good next year
man, they could land Kawhi after opening a slightly less than max slot by salary dumping Wagner and Bonga. And by slightly less I mean only a few hundred thousand dollars, no way that's a deal breaker to anyone.
