Not another guard. Hard pass
If the Spurs are interested in Nwaba, it's a pretty good indication that they're shopping Marco. No need for another guard otherwise.
Nwaba is a 6-foot-4 small forward. Doesn't have guard skills so he can't play at either guard spot. He's really strong, thickly built and athletic so he can survive at SF, though obviously super short for the position. Don't love the fit for the Spurs because he's not a good shooter (plus, obviously, the Spurs don't need another undersized small forward) but if you salary dump Belinelli and need a deep, emergency SF, he's better than someone like Pondexter.
Don't love the idea but he's pretty good for like a 12th to 14th man, IMO.
The only reason to have a guy like Nwaba is to be a "break glass in case of emergency" player. The Spurs already kind of have one in Belinelli-if they want to open minutes for LWIV-so there must be something going on with that rumor.
Next couple of days might prove to be interesting. *fingers crossed*
Nwaba imho is a very good defender...and I mean very good. Imho sort o a shorter Bruce Bowen before Bruce developed a three...so he looks like a typical player for special defensive missions...and we don't have at the moment one able to face athletic sf (if we don't consider KJ ready for that...)
Just keep belli.dont care to save a few mil just for the fck of it
Belinelli become 3rd string emergency shooter. This guy become 3rd string defensive specialist. Metu will be released
Yes we need one more non-shooting undersized guard with zero playoff experience. Sign him.
I understand the trade beli but he does provide shooting and good depth in case of injury I’d rather trade fatty.
JFC, PATFO...No more midget guards who can only do one thing halfway decently.
What ever ended up happening to Huestis?

Here's an article which says that his injury last year really sucked, he's fully healthy but isn't attached to any team but is trying to get into the league or Europe but uh oh:.
Has Haley (his w wife, who was a volleyball player), who specializes in marketing and creating websites, ever suggested Josh forget about the NBA and, you know, find a job in the real world?.
Size wise, he's not actually undersized for a 3, having a freaky 7' wingspan. He's not a bad player. Plays D with enthusiasm, doesn't take bad shots (career PPS 1.32), keeps a positive A/TO (career 12.7/1.9). If his 3 ever gets to be a good shot (Career 32.6%, last year 32%, although .361 from the corner), he'd be really pretty useful... Certainly don't mind him in the deep bench. Much better defensively than Beli (who isn't), but much less of a shooter. Another way to look at it is that he's a better player than Huestis (who we were also interested in). ... Contract wise he should be pretty cheap, and if I were PATFO, I'd be trying for 3 years, with a team option in year 3. Also, fits the timeline of the young guards better - could be a Bowen for them.

Thx for these detailed infos about him.
That's sounds like a decent idea if we don't sign him for more than 2.5 millions per year.
Would like to move beli and sign him or maybe holiday if we can’t acquire Cov, Gallo, Winslow
He's roughly 220 and like pad300 said, has a 7'0'' wingspan. He can credibly defend 3 positions (possibly 4, in certain matchups). He's not a creator, so he needs to ideally be played alongside multiple ones, but whether he's nominally the SG or SF in a specific lineup is irrelevant.
He makes no sense. If Belinelli is dumped, the ideal replacement is . . . a younger, lesser, minimum version, like Stauskas or Korkmaz. Three-point shooting is a far bigger need in a depth wing than defender is. Murray, White, Carroll, Walker and Johnson, should all range from very good to non liability.
Baba brings the toughness you were looking for with Morris without the nonsense. He also pretty good at beating pressure.
WTF is wrong with this scenario? Of course, why go after a 6'4 guy when there are plenty of 6'2 SFs available on the market.
why go after them if you have players 6'0'' on the team that Pop could just play at SF?
Free agent guard David Nwaba has agreed to a two-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
The dream is over.
His on ball defense rating was through the roof in 2k18 fwiw
Nets are stacked. If they had a healthy KD I would pick them to win.
