Party Affiliation is people actually registered as Democrat or Republican voters. Party Identification is which party people identify with (thus includes 'independents' who lean one way or the other).

In the Fox Poll, there is a definite Independent breakdown which broke half don't know (6%), quarter Dem (3%) and quarter Rep (3%) - on the impeachment question. And it seems to me that a large percentage of people these days are claiming that they are independents. And of course, I again fully admit - being D,R or I does not necessarily mean you want impeachment/removal - just that that 12%I seems low to me.
