I'll go with standard drywall. Dude is on that rookie contract so no splurging yet.
Obviously my gurl SAgirl thinks he can be a superstar in this league and demands developmental committment similar to kawhi...so lets ask the forum what his real potential.

Not high. Won't ever be a starter in the NBA. A cross between the Marcus Williams the Spurs drafted in 07' and old Paul Pressey. Better than Williams, not better than old Pressey. Somewhere in the middle.. tbh..

Why judge or place limits on a player? (Unless you are trying to protect something within yourself)
I said from the start that he could aspire to be a consistent rotation player, but not a starter. The Spurs just extended him, so they must think that much of him. He didn't get shut out of last season's playoffs, but he only got about 3 minutes in one game against OKC, and 6 minutes in another. That's filler.
I think Pop will trust him enough to get him off the bench earlier and consistently in the playoffs. And I think that's his ceiling. Not to be a broken record, but if he put on 20 lbs. of muscle, I think he could be a solid, first-off-the-bench backup 4 on a lot of NBA teams. As is, he's still got situational limits.
Poverty version of Magic Johnson.
If we had some off ball players for him to pass to then he'd look a lot better. Not sure what his ceiling is though. Currently not a big fan of his.
ebola infected homeless version of gordon hayward
Why you always white knighting for stupidgirl.
Star player ....The line between a good role player and a star is pretty thin. Raymond Green is a good case. I think if Kawhi gets a ring for the spurs Kyle will get a all star nod. It all depends on the talent around him. He's as good as those around him. As the spurs lose old players he will be promoted. The spurs won't trade him because his skill set is so unique, unlike Diaw he is not lazy.
Unlike Diaw, he's a lil . Lol
I don't know what you are talking about.
White knighting in multiple fathead threads. We see them. You just making yourself look dumb at this point.
I think a lot of people on this board are underrating Kyle Anderson. He was 19th in the NBA last season in RPM (+0.61) among SF's, and he's only 23 years old. He's already good enough to be a starter on some NBA teams.
Given his size, length, and versatility, I believe his absolute ceiling would be a starter on a championship team. But at worst, he could be the first player off the bench on such a team, or perhaps a consistent starter on a lottery team.
For the record, I remember a similar thread like this being started by timvp during Kawhi Leonard's rookie year, and if I'm not mistaken, his assessment was that Leonard's ceiling was a more skilled Bruce Bowen.
Leonard has far surpassed that.
End of the bench player in the North Korean league.
Well it might be changed to starter on the Spurs on Wednesday night.
You seem to have an interesting imagination; and one which bears watching.
It's hard to tell. I just need to see him consistently be productive and decisive out there. It seems like he plays 1 way in the summer league, and different once he's around better players.
Now I get it, he has been a newer guy and maybe defers too much. But he will be needed to make quick decisions and shoot the ball if he's open. Defensively he is solid and has good length, rebounds pretty well. Offensively is where he needs to improve imo.
There are 4 votes for start player, one is mine.
Star is a very broad term. I think he can be a legit starter on a good team and more/better than a role player, that means a star player? IDK but the other voting options didn't convince me.
Zack Randolph of ... whatever position Anderson plays. He's going to put it together eventually, even if it's for a couple of years when he's like 31.
Didn't even see a pole. There's no option for 3-8, so I guess it's just as well.
Nick Young that can't score. Therefore useless
