As much as I hate settling for 3 in the red zone especially with goal to go situation, that might have been the best case scenario for us even over getting a TD, because Maher needed that for his long term confidence this game and going forward.
Sometimes an easy chip shot like that banged through down the middle with confidence will kick start a new positive streak for kickers. We've seen it multiple times for Mason Crosby for example.
Yuck. Can't afford to give that up on special teams.
