Chapman should've continued with his strategy of not pitching to Altuve and let someone else beat him.
Terrible. Just walk him and take your chances with the corpse of Jake Marisnick

Yeah, no way I'm pitching to Altuve with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

This is a tough loss for the Yankees. They were better off not tying the game. It sucks being on a massive high just to get the chair pulled from under you the next minute.

    It hurts more.

that was an epic 9th inning overall, and one of the best playoff baseball games ever to not go extra innings. Tbh.

So many stupid decisions by Boone in the series. Went to the pen too early in game 2. Still goes with Edwin Encarnacion at the 5th sport when he was historically struggling (lowest OPS in ALCS in history). Doesn't command Gregorious not to first pitch swing for the 100th time in a high leverage spot. Too much faith in Gary Sanchez. Also, Stanton remains a China Doll. Not that he would've mattered. He's basically a guaranteed strikeout in the playoffs.

Bit won’t matter as much with 3 games with no DH

that's what I'm thinking. Cole and Verlander (although I'm iffy on him) pitching the first 2 is a big advantage for the Astros because they're at home in DH territory and when the lesser pitchers and bullpen take over the next 2-3 games they basically get a free out every 9 batters.

main thing is not to get into an extra inning game in the middle 3, that can historically prove trouble for AL teams pitching wise

Give him game 1 and after that if he's still bad it's time to bench him for good.

Yeah, free swinging homerun centric rookies always flame out in the post-season. He's looking like Bellinger in 2017.
