or you know, because nobody wanted them, and the price to trade would have been to high
look where we at now.... we didnt get for our star players because of "spurs" culture
or you know, because nobody wanted them, and the price to trade would have been to high
No . Should’ve traded them at the trade deadline in 2020 or prior to last years draft
pretty sure LMA as primary offense in '18 and '19 would have gotten some decent offers.
Ditto when he was only owed 6 mil and PATFO gave him yet another Gasol type gift.
Derozan may have drawn interest from a team needing a SG SF scorer.
OPs point is what the f do we have to show for holding on to both of them?
That’s great hindsight. Now tell us something about the future.
it will help us sign other B level free agents in the future!!! Get overpaid and possibly bought out to ring chase; most vets dream. All you have to do is say the right things, join the coffee gang and make an HEB commercial or two. Contingent on a background check however. No parking tickets and you can only drink fine wine while Pop toasts to TD. Or submit to being a Spurs culture reclamation project.
Didn't we try to trade LMA for a high pick?
Never made the news that i saw.
Only blurbs were Popped saying how set we were.
Ex heard a 3 second blurb on a podcast and preached it as the holy grail. He does that. Fake news. Spurstalk version of Trump.
It's not Spurs way for whatever it's worth. Although Demar can do us solid if he could sign and trade to a contender and get us something back. Demar is a very good 3rd option to a contender, likewise Patty.
I said Demar should’ve been traded after the Denver series. Nothing about this situation is surprising in the least.
Nope. It's all culture.
SPURS BAD, POP BAD, FIRE BAD!!!
Right on.
Don't forget to register your YES vote.
Should Pop be allowed to coach until he passes away? (spurstalk.com)
I see lots of lottery balls in this team's future with no A-level talent in the junior ranks of the roster.
Should have traded Aldridge in the summer of 18 and never traded for DeRozan.
Agreed. This is the right answer. I was all for holding on to Kawhi and letting him walk then picking up useless talent and bad contracts which the spurs did with Jakob and Demar.
That horse has left the barn already...no use crying about it anymore...
This is absolutely what we should have done, after trading Kawhi for the best package of players and picks we could leverage. And then traded Green for a late first. We would have just completed Year 3 of a rebuild with young players and be an ascending team. Unbelievable the position Pop and RC have got this franchise in.
Not this past year with Golden St but like the whole when LMA was unhappy thing a few years back. I thought some report said that we were looking to get a top 10 pick for him
