Kerr is right. There needs to be repercussions for not playing out your contract because of butt hurt. Leonard drew first blood which will have a domino effect until they fix it.

After the Kawhi and AD pulled I have a new found respect for Durant. Just play your damn contract and then leave to wherever you want.

Kerr is wrong. Teams trade players all the time with no repercussions. Look at what the Dubs did to Iggy. Banished him to Memphis without blinking. Memphis - instead of buying him out - is holding him hostage. Where's the outrage about that?

Iggy was a major reason for his latest 3 rangs. It's not like he was a scrub. Now he can't open Chase center as a Dub. That's ed up.

And the only reason the Dubs did it is because Iggy exposed them. But let's not talk about "the man" trading a wherever the he wants and blame the for disrupting the status quo by taking matters into their own hands.

    Kerr could go himself.

Agreed. Clipps too, but Silver won't do it.

I bet that investigation they are undergoing comes up "empty" when it comes to the Clipps. Why is the League protecting large market teams?

Not really. When Klay comes back I put the Dubs over the Clipps tbh.

Clippers don't have an elite point guard (or at least a very darn good rotation like Lowry/FVV). They're toast

To me bev is cool as a backup. I’m sure jerry West still has a move or two left he knows what they need. Shai would have been amazing but obviously he needed to go.

Iggy should have shut his ing mouth. You don't run your mouth to the media about your employer. The rest of the working world knows this. These overpaid YMCAers need to fall in line.

    yeah that's bullcrap

It's okay for a team to trade a player any time they want if they wanna get rid of a guy they don't want or have a way to improve their chances of winning, but it's not okay for the players to want the same authority?

now I agree that I'd prefer to see players play out their contracts, but the fact that you can be traded at any time against your will is kind of weak too tbh. imo trades should have to be approved by all parties involved tbh

It's very simple; the players want their cake and to eat it, too.

You're a serviceman, right Reynosa? I'd think you above all else would understand this. You voluntarily sign up for the Service and know what comes with it. You sign on the dotted line, you know you're going to be sent where you're sent, it doesn't knock down the pay and the benefits in the terms of the Agreement. You don't like it? Tough , you signed on knowing that. You don't get to tell your Commanding officer you're not gonna do what you're assigned to do and want to be transferred elsewhere. He tells you to go yourself, jarhead. You can request a transfer, but if they don't want to send you elsewhere, you're gonna do what you initially signed on to do.

Why are you putting spoiled millionaires over yourself and everyone else who understands basic contractual obligations and repercussions?

Players/agents can shoot for a no trade clause if they are worried about getting traded. This isn't social justice you diva. Players crying to Media and using twitter/instagram to complain about their contract or tenure is reprehensible. I thought these guys were professionals?

    LMAO at the jarhead comment

Apples and Tomatoes. You cannot compare active military to a civilian (although everything you said about military is spot on ). I've always went were Uncle Sam told me to go. So there's that.

Kobe told MK he wanted a trade during the Smush Parker era. Dr. Buss told him to go kick rocks. The Pels could have done the same with AD.

It worked out tho. The Lakers got a 26 year old star and the Pels got a ton of assets to jumpstart their rebuild. Everybody is happy.

Teams trade players, crickets. Why? Teams are owned by 31 whiteys and one coonass. But let a player flip the scrip? All breaks loose.

In the infamous words of the Texans owner "they can't have the inmates running the asylum!"

Are you a Marine? I'm sure you shared this before, but I don't recall. I do recall thanking you for your service, and again- thank you.

But why should it be different? The players are entering terms of employment in a league owned by independent Governors. You said it yourself, Rafael- you go where Uncle Sam tells you to go or Request a transfer or quit.

And yes, yes it did work out. works out most times, tbh.

    I'm a Sailor, so the proper insult should have been Squid . Proud to serve {salute}

Nope, I'm siding with the players here. Until teams stop deporting players to places like Toronto against their will without pushback, I'm riding with the playersPERIOD

What I don't like is White Supremacists tbh.
