Still remember watching that live. Oddly enough, I do think it cost the Cubs the WS. It's a shame the Bartman curse extension only lasted a decade and a half. All the crybabies deserved longer.
If you ignore the Gonzalez error and the fact the Alou admitted that he prolly wouldn't have caught it, then yes Bartman did cost the Cubbies a WS le. We Cubs fans actually embraced the losing, waiting for the other shoe to drop was just part of being a Cubs fan. Lovable losers became our iden y, that's pretty much the farthest thing from crybabies.

But then again, let's not let the facts get in the way.

No way Alou doesn't catch that ball, dude.

And sure, the Cubs choked after the fact. Everything was great until that point though.
The wheels fell off. They were the best team in the league that year.

Couple big offensive innings for the Dodgers but I still feel confident. Kershaw was just scratched with back issues so just how much faith should LAfan put in him tomorrow.

Our bullpen still hasn't been touched up, just need a bit more consistency from the lineup.

Get rid of the roach Astros.

1st the Rays best hitter gets wrung up on a check strike call that he clearly did not cross the line.
Then with bases jammed the Rays catcher (at bat) gets called on an obvious outside pitch (replays confirmed). Pretty sure that messed with his head. Regardless, he chased badly on a 3-2 based loaded low ball for what could have been 4-3 run and bases still jammed.

Kudos to Springer for the huge yak. Thought Glasnow should have stuck with mostly curveballs as he had the Cheatstros off balance. Regardless, very nice yak by Springer on the straight fastball. He nailed it. Upper upper deck.

Squash these cheating phucks today, Tampa.

Not sure who calls the Rays pitches but they suck.
Fastball up to Springer yesterday and now Correa today.
When both were off balance with offspeed stuff.

Nice smacks by both of them but FFS who ordered the middle of the plate fastballs?

Kershaw pitched well early. I think Roberts kept him in a bit too long but not sure he had much choice because of the Dodgers bullpen.

Braves starter, Wilson. Whoa what a performance. I was hoping for 3 innings and he instead held the Dodger's bats to a single hit late into the game.

Over 4 games the Dodgers lineup has now only mustered a few innings. This is ultimately the reason for their ensuing defeat.

Why? Did he build the team? Because they were frankly underachievers.
