I'm up for that action. I am happy to send $500 to a trusted 3rd party. I kinda doubt DD would actually pay up, but am totally confident that the Spurs would take the Lakers in a 7 game series during the 2013 playoffs. I don't post often because I don't post just to increase my post count as I suspect many do. I've been a member of this site since 2008, I think. I am not a college student. $500 is not a problem for me. Shall we tango?

If anyone here knows about welshing it's me . I am the only one that has really been burned by it (twice to the tune of 1K). I have paid when I lost and DD has done the same. There is definite reason to be skeptical, especially since I have been burned, but at this point nothing DD has done should lead to anyone doubting him. He's paid me at least three time (lol DD) and one of those was $500.

Oh and jestersmash - I am timvp 's nephew more in the sense of he wants to adopt me, not actually his nephew But your point still remains and I obviously post here regularly.

Don't think you understand what kind of bet he's willing to make. Don't need bookies for that amigo. Spurs win, you get $500. If Spurs lose, he gets $500. Why the sass if you're not betting? Not really. They carry the same winning percentage as Golden State from here on out and they probably sneak into the 8th spot. Lakerfan could have waited another couple of weeks and made it a much smarter bet; the record needed to make the playoffs would likely mean the Lakers were setting the world on fire. The excitement from that amazing 2 game winning streak was more than he could bear.

Here's the bet in a nuts : If Kobe continues to share the ball, and if the team with overwhelmingly stacked odds rolls on to the playoffs, they will beat a team who's franchise player is on his down side contract, a French point guard (or two) and a broken down Argentine along with a mixed bag of role players.
