You dipweeds weren't crying about unity 10 days ago when you were screaming about non-existent voter fraud and blaming Democrats for "stealing" a fair election.

You can just feel the unity
What happened to "Trump has to go?"

It's not our fault that people consider removing a seditious president "divisive." This should be a day of unity. Unfortunately, millions of people (and almost an entire political party) are still insane.

If they take Trump's impeachment personally that's on them.

I called him on it and never heard back. I think he doesn't even remember making that post. Guy's brain is fried from all the booze.

Senate won’t reconvene early to start impeachment trial before Trump leaves office: McConnell spokesman

With President Trump likely set on Wednesday to become the only president ever impeached twice, Democrats were pressuring Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to invoke a 2004 resolution that could bring the Senate back quickly for what would essentially be an emergency session to begin the impeachment trial as soon as possible.

But McConnell's office said Wednesday that it will not invoke the resolution, meaning that any impeachment trial almost certainly will not start until Trump has left office.

The 2004 resolution "[a]uthorizes the majority and minority leaders... when the Senate is out of session, acting jointly and within the limits of the Cons ution, to modify any order for the time or place of the convening of the Senate when, in their opinion, such action is warranted by intervening cir stances."

After the Senate is back – and it has received the impeachment article – the Senate is required to begin an impeachment trial forthwith. If the 2004 resolution were invoked, theoretically, the Senate would begin its impeachment trial while Trump was still in office. Beginning the trial more quickly would also clear the Senate's docket of the trial faster so it can begin taking up other issues — like President-elect Biden's national security appointees.

House Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern, D-Mass., on Wednesday explicitly brought this possibility up during debate on the rules for House debate on Trump's impeachment.

"I want to be clear about one thing. If we vote to impeach the president today and we sent it over to the Senate... there is nothing to prevent the Senate from taking it up immediately if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decides he wants to proceed," McGovern said.

Republicans should have made the vote unanimous, tbh.

What did you think about the phone call with Brad asking him to nulify the election and declare Trump the winner?

Was that impeachable, in your opinion?

That was one week ago. That phone call is context for we're standing right now.

He's also the first President in history to be impeached where there is a written transcript exonerating him of what he was impeached for...twice.

    Not really.

He absolutely abused his power extorting personal gain from foreign country using taxpayer dollars, and absolutely worked up a murderous insurrectionist mob.

Thanks for the view from your delusional reality though. Good to have a reminder of the kinds of that is ok with you as long as it is your side doing it, you hypocritical bag.

The core of modern conservatism is dishonesty, and violence. Thanks for proving this out for me.

So unless we catch him saying, "I am doing the crime,"we can't say for sure if he really did do the crime?

What did you think btw about the phone call with Brad last week, is that part of the context for you?

    No whataboutism intended.
