It's a big game that will show the truth about where these two teams are at in terms of team defense. Shawne Merriman is a big-time player who is easily one of the top ten defensive players in the league today (and they did a profile feature on him).

So, yes, they might just do a little talking about the Chargers.

I'm sure ESPN will do some profiles on the 49ers the next time they play an important game - however long away that may be.
