Nuke plants are the ultimate solution but until politicians nut up and tell the greenies and nimbys to off it will never happen.
They all will eventually have the same problem. All the subsidies and tax credits are going to the windmills and solar farms. Nobody in their right mind is gonna invest in a new gas powered power plant because they can't compete when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining. Until the "clean" energy guys have to furnish battery backup for consistent and predictable power output we will continue to have problems. Texas grid is just the first to demonstrate the problem.
