Depends. I think he might start the rest of the game. Finley is doing fine. Udoka's emergence helps.
Manu joining Tim and Tony makes us that much harder to defend.
Benched Manu we'd probably lose in 6 against the Hornets. So can't with it now.

COMING OFF THE BENCH

Whatever helps the Spurs win.
Bench against the Lakers
I never like the Ginobili 6th Man crap. STARTER until the end of this season. And next season if the bench doesn't produce we should address it by acquiring players that can produce coming off the bench
Starter... The bench is finally stepping up, let's hope they keep it up.
Start him in game 1, see how it goes, we are up against it in game 1 with this quick turn around.
I think he should come off the bench. He's the Spurs catalyst, that player that can extend a teams lead (or catch up on a deficit), when subs start coming in, just my opinion...
starter...no doubt, Oberto too.
I think you start him
ime has embraced the 6 man!
one reason he was benched so the bench would score
Yes, i think Ime Udoka is the new 6 man. He is doing it very well.
It maybe no accident that the bench finally started to play well last night. Maybe with Manu starting it gives the bench players a chance to play better whereas with Manu coming off the bench hampers the bench. Then again maybe I don't know squat.
This is not regular season when Parker Duncan and Manu only plays 30 mins a game
no need to come off bench to rest Duncan and Parker
Udoka has responded well to the sixth man role so keep Manu starting. Besides, Manu is going to need to play big minutes for the Spurs to win a championship.
Manu is a 6th man
Don't mess with what's working. Though I can see Pop putting Manu on the bench at some point in this series. Lakers have the deepest bench in the league, IMO. Pop may decide the Spurs bench needs a spark also.
I loved Manu's response to this question last night when a reported asked him:
"Are you more comfortable starting or comming off the bench in the next series?"
Manu: "I'm just comfortable winning. Whether it's starting or coming off the bench"
Mix that up.
Start Manu one game, then make him come of the bench.
Keep those Lakers wondering . . .
That declaration defines who is Manu. He is a winner. Like no other. Thanks Manu! You are an autentic MVP.
Don't mess with Finley's confidence at that point, let Manu starts.
Thoughts?
I say keep him on the starting line-up. The problem is: what if we start 0-2? what move would Pop make then? I don't think that sending Manu back to the bench beign down on the series woud be an inteligent move. The 08 Lakers aren't the 05 Nuggetts.
Start... it's big boy time.
Starter.
Udoka and Finley off the bench.
the spurs sometimes needs more action from Manu
Last game was 41 minutes, probably is too much
But if Manu is coming from the bench, he can only play, 35 minutes and not more, because he lost the first 5 minutes in the 1st and 5 more minutes in the 3rd, plus 2 minutes of rest in the 2nd and the 4th are 34 minutes
Manu from the bench can be great in the 1st Q but not in the 2nd half
