    What is Brian Wright doing?

If Murray is going for Gallo and multiple picks, that should be a fireable offense.

    Holt should step in!
Fireable offense? Why, because he's not doing a deal with the Wizards?

Again, Murray might want a trade, and he might not want it because his feelings are hurt. It's possible he and the team are on good terms, DJM loves Pop like a father, and Murray wants to welcome the rookies AND that he and the team feel like it's best for both sides if he moves to a contender.
I doubt Murray wants out. It's more so that he would like to play there with Tre, so the Spurs would do right by him. That's why Atlanta is an option. For the Spurs though, none of this makes any sense

You’re right, it doesn’t make any sense for the spurs. This is definitely coming from Murray’s side.

nah it's coming for the Hawks, not Murray. I'm just saying he wouldn't be mad to be traded there. It's not like we're sending him to the Orlando Magic

i'd hate dumping murray like that tbh, unless its like a god tier package of unprotected picks + swaps.

only part of it that makes sense is if we are moving murray, taking on gallinari (for further draft capital) makes sense... and the deals that always made the least sense for us were those including murray/collins swap. no point in bringing in collins unless its to build alongside murray. would hate the current spurs team + collins minus murray

I don't know where it's coming from but if it's DJ that's one thing and still could be handled without giving him away. However if the spurs have some sort of plan then fine if their plan is to tank thats just asinine. There is no guarantee those ping pong balls bounce your way and if you lose the drafting team won't trade that pick for 10 first rounders. We got lucky with Timmy you can force luck it usually ends up bad fate is fate. This would be just so stupid and they aren't a big market like Philly they walking a fine line of becoming the Kings. Speaking of philly how has that worked out for Philly. Please let there be more to this.

Vegas because if they do this I’ll need a bender full of hookers and blow.

Vegas would be great tbh. Two favorite teams in the same city within a 4.5hr drive from LA, chef's kiss tbh

So not only would we not be getting John Collins back in the deal so that we could flip him elsewhere for future draft capital, we’d only be getting back the corpse of Gallinari and mid-to-late FRP’s… this would be a re ed trade on our end.
John Collins is good enough to knock our picks into the 20s, but not good enough to get us out of the first round. He’s a treadmill player. He’s also not coming with picks attached. Zero.

I want the trade and the Spurs to be a bottom three team and get lucky and land their franchise player.

That's the quickest way to be a contender again.

Keeping Murray keeps the Spurs in the low end of the lottery for years until they get a franchise changing player.

None of the players on the current team including Murray or the players the Spurs drafted this year are franchise changing players. They are nice complementary players but they need the franchise player.

Beats me but the local reporters tend to be more plugged in. The amount of noise makes me think they're definitely having conversations. How close they actually are is anyone's guess

Because they are entertaining the idea of trading Dejounte Murray? Lol

I mean I like Murray and all and I get he was an all star this season due to some other injuries in the NBA, but one more season and he’s gonna start wanting to talk about $40M+/yr extensions. You want to give him that? Definitely don’t think he’s that type of player and likely won’t ever be. Just my opinion.

well, if they're anything like our local reporters, they're clueless but, then again, our local beat is pretty much at the bottom of the food chain. nothing on the wok and shams front at the moment.

I’m partial to the next team being back in Vancouver tbh. I really don’t see trading DJ as the reason this team relocates as that is extreme but moves like this proposed trade are the preface.
