I’m confident the lowest Sochan would go is 12 to the Thunder.
Yeah I'm certain the Thunder would have taken him at 12 if he passed the Spurs at 9. They need size and he kind of fits their do-it-all type player they look for.

Don't think the Wizards or Knicks would have taken him at 10 or 11. After the Thunder I think he could have dropped to the Hawks at 16.

I personally think every team needs a Sochan who can switch on 1-5 in today’s modern NBA. He is the best defensive player in the draft imo. And for that he is a steal at 9.

If Sochan can develop some kind of offensive game, which I don’t doubt because his mechanics are not bad, he will be a of a player.

Is that the angle or is he twice as big as Branham?

Sochan didn't get measured at the combine, as far as I could tell, but Branham is 6-4 without shoes. If Sochan is a 6-9 without shoes, it would explain the size difference. Wesley is even smaller at 6-3 barefoot. Barlow is 6-9 barefoot, so he'd be considered 6-10 under the old system. That's arguably center height.

Anyways, I'm glad the top-two picks are connecting. I'm excited for the summer league.

Branham is 6'4 without shoes (so 6'5 in the old school NBA height).

Sochan has always been touted as 6'9 but he looks like he could be slightly bigger. Would have been interesting to see him measure at the combine.

Yeah Sochan looks very big and strong in the footage from Baylor.

STers are going to be so outraged when he spends 50% of his time on the floor as a C

Yea Branham measured 6’5.5 with shoes at the combine. Based on them standing beside one another, I’d imagine Sochan is a legit 6’10. Or like 6’9.5. He’s big.

He reminds me a lot of Marcus Smart without being a head case.

Harden is the past. Can he switch onto Ja? Yes, I think he can which is all we can ask for out of a PF.

    His hair is dyed yellow.

And this team could use a little crazy.

Avery thinks he's a project who will spend the next 2 years in the G-League. That's not the narrative I've been reading.

I think he starts on Day 1. It makes you think we could have a legit candidate for ROY based on the role Sochan could be playing as possibly defensive anchor of the team. I’m stoked with what Chip could unfold on his shooting game. His mechanics are not bad.
