Knicks are maxing him out. They are dumb and have a lot of cap space.
A lot of national media are predicting he'll land in New York.

I could definitely see it happening.

He'll be a star in New York, get all of the national press spotlight, and have a chance to prove he's a legit star. And, they'll throw a ton of cash his way. Assuming Kawhi doesn't opt out this summer, DDR will be one of the biggest free agents available.

I think he'll be in NY unless Kawhi leaves the Clippers, then he might replace Nephew yet again with a new team. I really do think CeMar wants to be in California, but as you say NY seems his best option

They will convince him to do a sign and trade. They aren't going to let an all star walk freely without trying to extend him or trade him.

Demar has very little leverage in that regard. It's whether a team that doesn't have cap room is willing to let assets (which Spurs would want) go for them to sign him.

Let him walk. Why even list $14-19M? Even $20M is unrealistic. He'll almost certainly end up in the $25-30M range.

Good breakdown...it's been very clear from the beginning he isn't good for any team in the current NBA...and combine that with his propensity to choke in the playoffs,it makes no sense why we would want to keep him
He could be a good sixth man, but he would NEVER accept that sort of role
