Why do announcers always sugarcoat coaches getting fired with lines like “It won’t be long before his phone is ringing!” McCarthy has been a ty coach for years who’s largely thrown away the career of a generational talent at QB, he’s not some sought after guru who teams are fawning over.

I agree. When Garrett finally gets this axe, this spring or whenever, I don't think he gets another HC job... maybe OC.

Eagles are NOT out of the wildcard at all. FOX is showing the Redskins but we all know that won't hold because of their lack of QB/talent. Don't be surprised at all if it's 2 teams from the NFC East that make it in.

Panthers are 6-6 and play the Saints twice yet.... yep, 8-8 is in their future. There won't be any week 17 rest games likely because everyone at the top will be fighting for byes, HFA etc.

Vikings still have at Seattle and will likely lose one more than that on their remaining schedule... I wouldn't even bank the Miami game, honestly. They'll likely finish 8-7-1, though.

Seattle will either be 11-5 or 10-6 depending on the KC game.
