people really really hate having a good veteran influence on the bench who the youth love like a brother. It’s hilarious.

Is he wrong about hearing the truth one day? or about the non signings? Or both?
Don't get me wrong, I like patty. He tries hard all the time, he still has talent left in the tank, and his is a good community guy, but he is not what the spurs need right now and certainly not at anything close to his salary. Half Patty, Half is all the spurs front office is going to offer and that's if you're lucky. New York and Philly might offer more but you can take the spurs offer and ride off like a hero into the Austrailian sunset when its over and you'll get to be in those HEB nostalgia commercials with Tim, Tony, Manu Sean and David Robinson. What do you say Patty ? If not there's some young guy somewhere dribbling a basketball right now, just waiting for a chance to take your spot. The balls in your court now.
I don’t think people hate him at all. They just didn’t like his ball hog style of play this year. It’s a contract year, so it’s to be expected, but in combination with Rudy and DDR pounding the air out of the ball, it made the product on the court fairly miserable. I’d love to have him resign at an affordable deal where he can continue to be leader but not take minutes from young players during a rebuild.
I like him on the bench. I don't like him on the floor for 27 minutes a game. He's at his best as a mentor and a spark, but shouldn't be depended on for more than that. It's not Patty, it's the role he's forced into on this team. Patty's awesome. If you read my other posts on Patty you'd see that I've repeated this same thought about 50 times. It's not a knock on Patty, it's a knock on what the Spurs ask of him. On a better team he's still a great piece.
Patty Mills would be great on a team that has all-stars. This team doesn't. As a fan, I'd rather see the Spurs let him walk. If he accepts a cut in pay and a limited role, then he can become the Spurs' bench cheerleader and wave that towel all he wants.
Yeah I like Patty but he is compe ive player and I don’t see him taking a bench role on a non playoff team at a reduced salary. I wish him the best and I think he could really help a team in the East get to the Playoffs.
Please for the love of god no more derozan or mills this season
