In Denver tonight as we take on a 21-11 Nuggets team that we just beat at our place on Wednesday. They’ll want payback at home. Will be a tough one. No excuses. Let’s get it.
Malone will adjust and start passing to cutters and open 3’s. Perimeter defense is crucial. Gay/Demar should start attacking the rim to get this undermanned in penalty early. It’s doable but our guys need a lot of discipline closing out on 3’s. We barely escaped the other night. Spurs by 6. GSG!!!
My man BatManu20 keeping the train rolling
Nuggets have capable 3 pt shooters. That game in particular they were off (and they are undermanned). That's not going to work consistently. Take your blessings where you can take them.
Going bold and predicting a Spurs win: 112-104
Denver shot 45 percent from three on 40 attempts. That was the one thing that was working for them in the game. One thing I thought really made the difference in the game was the blind-side digs the Spurs ran at Jokic. Dude seems somewhat careless with the ball, which allowed the guards to come in and disrupt possessions. They didn't give a lot of solid doubles that could be exploited any more than they were already. Denver's best chance at a win is hoping the Spurs are too tired to overcome the Nuggets' inherent home-court advantage.
1.5 gAmes behind for the 4th seed. Interesting
Wonder if the Nuggs are going to get even more garbage calls back in Denver tbh.
Murray or any other perimeter guy will chuck and make a ton of crappy shots, and the Spurs lose tonight.
Double off the dribble. Pretty standard stuff Jokic is going to have to learn to deal with, same way Timmy and Shaq had to learn to deal with. Denver going to have to get some shooters to help out too. This is like the Spurs '02 season where Spurs had Duncan (like Jokic) and not much help.
I thought Bryn in particular did a good job in making his double team quick and strong. Almost made up for his lazy-ass telegraph passes.
Espn shows Lonnie Walker out tonight, not inactive. Wonder why
Playing for the Toros tonight along with Metu.
No Lonnie is in Denver, according to his instagram story.
The #Spurs just announced they have assigned Lonnie Walker IV and Chimezie Metu to the G League’s Austin Spurs. Both players will be available for Austin when they visit the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday at 8 p.m
Yeah, saw that too.. Unless there's snow in Austin that I'm not seeing, then he's in Denver with the team.
Pau coming back to save my tanking hopes...i wonder how long it's gonna take Pop to figure out the rotation again....probably another 25 games tbh
