no...have not. thanks for the recommendation. I've been looking for something new to me. think I'll check him out. I saw Mystic River but it's been so long ago, I don't think it'll mess up my reading it.
I think you'd like this one. Good crime noir with a pretty unique storyline

I liked it, thanks! I think there is a second one out. Rereading Salem's Lot, has to have been 20 years since I read it last.
just picked up the 7 habits of highly successful people.
Read Revival by King, enjoyed it but not sure how I felt about the ending. I guess I wanted it to relate to the Dark Tower too much. Also read Bruno's The Iceman, also good.
I watched the film "The Road"....then I read the novel. Now, I have hit the jackpot as I am listening to the unabridged audio book. I'm closing in on the end, and I will hate to see it come to a close. It's been a rare treat and advise anyone to partake of this le in this venue.
Currently listening to 'Escape from Camp 14', and it makes me wonder how many Koreans have to perish before the global community takes action. Off topic, when I was University student over a decade ago, a friend of mine came across a couple of exchange students from South Korea who asked him if he could 'tour' them around the campus. He asked them where they're from, and they told him they're from Korea. Not knowing any better, my friend asked them 'Which Korea? North or South? The other Korean guy fell silent and looked at my friend in utter disbelief.
I gotta pick this book up.
Also,
your friend
After you read that, go and pick up Dear Leader by Jang Jin-Sung. It's about a North Korean officer who defected to North Korea. Compelling read
My friend isn't really the best guy to ask when it comes to geopolitical stuff. Also, I still remind him about this incident every once in a while.
Thanks, Venti. I'll check it out.
Check out Blood Meridian, I read the print but it would lend itself well to audio. Probably unfilmable though
read the book a few years back, never caught the flick. is it worth watching?
No. It's garbage and a cobbling together of different parts of the book. It would have to be a mini-series in order to do it any manner of justice.
Reading Fairy Tale by King, about 1/5 through and like it.
I don't normally chase the books of the year but on a recommendation, I started, Where the Crawdads Sing. I'm about 20% through and it's pretty damn good. I assume it picks up as to the plot but the writing is amazing.
Just finished Project Hail Mary. Promising concept but honestly just found it irritating after a while. Didn't work as well as The Martian. 5/10.
Updates?
I've been promoted several times since this post and started a successful small business. I didn't finish reading the book tho.
