Finally.
Thomas is good. Tommy Lee Lewis is not./
It's just one half. Very sloppy.
Yeah Peterson isn't working out.
I like Tommy Lee. He's small but very fast.
Hey Pelicans78, I'm starting to think that last week wasn't so much on the Panthers. The Saints, after 2 stinkers the first two games of the season (one was Brady but still) might actually be jelling on defense. Their defense may be able to carry them to an 8-9 win season.
Yeah looking at the numbers on pro football reference, their defense has been better than their offense even before today's game. Interesting to see how Breaux will fit in the secondary when he gets back.
Max Unger is a good blocker, but sheesh, he has to lead the NFL in bad snaps over the past 6 years, whether it's in Seattle or NOLA.
I've never seen a center nearly half as bad at snapping since the Cowboys' Andre Gurode back in the day.
Pelicans78 best defense since before post-Katrina/Brees era?
I'm still gonna give 2013 the edge for now in Rob Ryan's first year. They were top 5 despite a couple of late game chokes. But this defense has potential.
Big TD either way but Saints should have gone for two. Still 3 score lead should be enough.
Yeah I was sitting wondering wtf, why didn't they go for two?
Sloppy win, but any win in a strange environment like this is acceptable. It's nice to see the offense play mediocre and still win convincingly.
AFC fodder though, Saints have a ton of NFC games coming up so obviously the schedule gets tougher. Detroit at home will be tough. At Green Bay is a loss, then you've got to win the next 3 "mild" games before the Redskins come into town.
Have to win at home against the Lions in my opinion after the bye week. It's gonna be tough because they've beaten the Saints three straight years, but a home game after a bye is a big advantage.
Saints have to re-establish the katrina dome fortress that was so good to them until 2014 broke it. Obviously Brady after a Pats loss that early in the season is a rough draw, but they need to go 6-2 at home if they want to contend for a playoff birth this year.
Rob Havenstein vs. DeMarcus Lawrence. Let's go defense.
