They just didn’t want to be there.
I don't care if they found these players with a severed head, no way they are missing the Texas game. They will work the suspension around the Tough games. Half the suspended players will miss Georgia Southern, the other half will miss NW St.
Someone mentioned they may be second or third marijuana punishments which at that point goes into the hands of the school not the athletic administration.
That’s one way to get respect in the locker room. Hopefully he won’t be needed in any back up RB emergencies. Though, him getting some live game reps even at RB in less than 4 games to preserve the redshirt isn’t a bad concept. He’ll start adapting and acclimating to live game speed much quicker than on the sidelines a full season.
He’s electric with the ball in his hands
They could rep Jake Ehlinger at RB or FB at least, no? I believe he has a couple clips on offense and maybe he has some of the natural escapability that Sam possesses. I would at least entertain the idea at this point. I know he would give some fight to earn that position and work hard at it.
I wonder if he'll get some wildcat packages as well. He could be dangerous with an actual threat to throw the ball
not that the school would be that much harder on the kids. in the end, it will probably come down to what the university's lawyers think.
LSU has a drug testing program in place for athletics which sets terms for sanctions and follows NCAA guidelines. Failure to follow its own policy regarding mandatory suspensions for failed drug tests exposes the school to NCAA sanctions. There should not be much room for lawyers to cut any slack. The school either follows their own policies or they don't.
