Well spurs getting better at tanking
ESPN has a 2023 Mock Up already.
They have last year's 5 worst teams being the same 5 worst team next year, which is hard to argue with. Those loser franchises are stuck in being loser franchises for the long-term, no matter who they pick. DET is probably the only exception.
They have us taking a 17 year old! Growth plates!

Well spurs getting better at tanking
Wembanyama seems like a truly generational talent, but for us to have a chance we'd have to trade Poeltl + Murray or pray for a miracle. Hopefully we get a big offer for Dejounte and use this season to develop our guys, pick up that centerpiece, and go from there.
Who is the player that the pretty much the entirety of Spurtalk inteligencia will mock next year, despite having done no research on? Looking at you benefactor.
The Thompson brothers have made some of the most athletic plays I've ever seen
I'd probably have then 3 and 4 and then Nick Smith 5 -- but it's close. The recent Whitmore footage gives him a case for 3, as well.
I'm not a tanking proponent but, with the talent in next years draft it's probably the way to go if we want to get back in championship contention. The French kid is worth the gamble and anywhere in the top 6 you're getting a player better than Banchero this year (who I loved).
Victor Wembanyama will be a superstar and will throw us into contention once again. It won't be, but the entire organizations #1 view right now should be trying to get him next year. That's why I was really hoping for some trades for future #1 assets.
I like our guys we got this year, but this dude would literally revive the franchise.
Victor looks like a taller Chet or the kid OK. took a couple of draft ago not sure those skinny legs/knees can hold up in NBA?
