Very underrated top 50!
Top 10 congrats!
Very underrated top 50!
Thanks mousey.
A lot of people think the beginning of Rebel Yell is Steven Stevens combined with the elec piano player. But it's actually all Stevens on the guitar.
Any discussion of guitar soloist that excludes Richard Thompson is pointless:
First off your leaving out some major differences.
The "Guitar Solos" I post are "original" they are time stamped to the 70sand 80s back when no one had a clue what was coming out of the Speaker.
The links you post are decades later after kids could download guitar hero and take online guitar lessons in under 12 weeks as they play the guitar in the comfort of their home not facing a live audience or a Recording studio so stop posting propaganda and show we a "original Guitar Solo" from the person who played it first not some wannabee "YouTube" online performer.
Or you can be sac less and continue as you are posting the copy cats but at the end your credibility would have suffered from those reading this topic.

somebody here besides me is a Triumph fan?
You can't get much better, tastefully and smoothly, than the guitar solo by Don Felder in the Eagles' Hotel California, except for some things done by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.
Felder is the consummate guitarist's guitarist, as is Gilmour.
Add another to the list; somewhere in storage (mother's attic maybe), I have an original "Triumph" debut album - Canada release in silver vinyl. Pretty geeked up for them in the 80's.... I caught Rik Emmet here in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago; still got great chops.
Not really just seeing if anyone could fine one better.
Hendrix solo's on
Hey Baby
Stone Free
All Along The Watch Tower
Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
all all classics as for live performances
Killing Floor (Monterrey)
Hey Joe (Monterrey)
Machine Gun (Band Of Gypsy's) -likely the greatest live solo in rock history
Hear My Train A Comin (BBC)
Foxey Lady (Winterland)
dude, you're awesome. I don't know too much about megadeth but this is the song that brought them up in my eyes. The live version is awesome...
cd021 i sorta figured going with hendrix stuff was cheating so i didnt bother
mouse,
Not long enough to be a solo, but nice sound here from Mikael Shenker of UFO on Let It Roll :42 to :56.
Shows his versatility on this song.
And i know you agree one of the best ending to a song.
then he follow up with more good stuff on Shoot Shoot. Stuff you already know.
