People look for any reason they can to go out. Plenty of other events after Spring Break too. Easter being the biggest.

We know how that went last year.

Depends how crowded it is. If you are in disney world you better wear a damn mask.

It just depends. And when in doubt wear a ing mask
It's obvious. If you're in a packed venue - indoors or out - you probably want to wear the thing. If you're walking through Karrin's suburban neighborhood on the edge of town with spacious sidewalks where you might see one person an hour, then you should be fine.

Then again, Karrin is the dumb who said we reached herd immunity last April, so no surprise he's still confused about this in March 2021.

What exactly were ya'll doing before covid that you are so eager to get back to doing now? Is wearing a mask in public that big of a deal? I was at Landa park this weekend and it was packed and not 1 mask in sight.
Unless you are in close contact with people who are huffing and puffing, socializing al fresco seems to be reasonably safe.

More free vaccines for libs, nice! Got to say thanks to them soon to be Darwin Award Winners!

71% of Republicans won't get coronavirus vaccine, 79% of Democrats will.

Some 71% of Americans who identified as "strong Republican" said that they probably will not get a coronavirus vaccine, while 79% of those who identify as "strong Democrat" probably will, according to a new voluntary response poll conducted online by Invisibly.
Overall, the poll found that 52% of people are unlikely or very unlikely to get a coronavirus vaccine. The poll also found that 68% of Americans do not know if they are eligible for a vaccine or how to attempt to receive one.

Of those who identified as leaning Republican (as opposed to strong Republican), 62% said they probably wont get the coronavirus vaccine. Of those who identified as leaning Democrat, only 33% said they probably won't get the coronavirus vaccine.

Some 55% of poll respondents cited concerns about the coronavirus vaccine with 18% worrying about possible side effects, 15% expressing distrust of the government and 22% believing the vaccine is too new and wishing to wait and see "how it works" before receiving one.
The poll was conducted by Invisibly Realtime Research and 1,251 people submitted responses to the poll over the course of 4 days. Invisibility Realtime Research conducts online surveys by displaying optional questions on web pages in place of advertisements.

I had Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with high-risk relatives with no issues. We ate outside on my back patio. Lucked out with nice weather both times.

No wonder trump got his vaccine like a thief in the night, his followers might not have appreciated the positive publicity.

It's good to be lucky, but I would be wary of repackaging my own personal luck as advice for others. Unmasked, un-socially distanced interaction is not-risk free during a respiratory pandemic.

Yup. You can easily socially distance at a park. Like Hater said, there are always exceptions. We were at the Pearl outdoor farmers market last week and damn near everyone had a mask on. Makes sense when people are standing in lines to buy stuff and walking in close proximity to one another.

True and also reason we will see new surge with new variants.

Less republicans is good. More bankrupt republicans due to health reasons demanding en lement programs, sad.

I'd like to go back to the movies. Santikos is open but there are no good flicks to watch right now. I would also like to go to live sporting events. The last event I did was February of 2020 I took clients in Houston to a Rockets v. Clippers game.

    Yep.

And the prices are ridiculous compared to the empty bins sticker at Lowes or Home Depot.
But I bought anyway as I am so sick of this. Just did this.

Id like to wish none of this ever happened.

My 80 year old inlaws are 2 weeks post 2nd vaccination. They are headed to the casino this weekend. Going back to living their lives as they should do.

I'm sure they will as a courtesy to people who are scared of the vaccine. They spent the last year staying at their ranch house. Now they are able to move back to their city home and go back to enjoying their retirement, because they weren't scared of the vaccine.

You do realize the entire "let's open up now" is an attempt to diffuse blame and attention from the fact that the Republican party's mis-management of the power grid probably killed hundreds of people, right?

    smh.
