all of Texas is ed
Looks like we are going to get messed up pretty bad by the flooding in SA because of this storm. It looks like its going to hit SA directly and then stall out dumping a ton of rain. Hopefully none of you guys live in low water areas, I lived here during the flood of 98 and 2000 and they were really bad tbh. Stay safe out there.

all of Texas is ed
Just a little rain is all which is sorely needed around here.
Hurry up, Harvey.
Don't be ignorant. It's hitting as a Cat 3. Be safe and gtfo if you have children.
Already a hurricane with plenty of warm open water ahead of it. This is gonna be a Cat 5, isn't it?
Maybe even a 6.
I wonder how long I can survive on potted meat?
Corpus Christi is ed
Now its going to be a 4, better stock up on supplies guys. SA is a few hours inland but the rain and wind is gonna be rough. I'm glad I live a bit higher up, although it may not be high enough depending on how much rain.
LMFAO
How in the does Corpus Christi not have shelters in place??? They are asking people to leave, now!!
Link please, all Ive seen is category 3 is the prediction.
although I have seen a few reports saying "could be a 4" or "nearly a 4".
Likely a 4. Hurricanes in the GOM don't "just" develop into minor hurricanes unless they're really close to land when they first develop.
Too bad MannyIsGod doesn't post much anymore, he could tell us whether we're going to live.
Cat 3 is the official prediction from NHC but we know NHC tends to be conservative. They had Katrina as a cat 2 landfall just 60 hours out.
Could be Texas's Katrina.
Hope not. But maybe a good time to be buying up rental properties in the metroplex.
It looks to me like the upper-air lows over Nevada and central Mexico are pushing monsoonal moisture further east than usual. Wonder if that will mitigate the dry-air to a degree. Suspect Harvey will always be pretty asymmetric but that's of many of the Gulf storms.
SA is going to be just fine since it looks like we'll on the west side of it. It's the Houston area that's really going to get it after the system stalls and just dumps rain on them for days.
Those bas s thatjust built right on the shrimp channel between Aransas Pass and Port A, goodbye. You Fckn built on good wetland and fishing spots.
See ya.
Should be cool to go down in a couple of weeks to see how the lay of the land has changed. Hope the people on higher ground in CC, Rockport, etc... come out ok. Building to be ON the water, so long.
Have you not seen the size of this thing? Expect flooding in SA.
The lower estimates for SA right now is 1 foot for Friday/Saturday. We will have flooding if this projection holds. It's supposed to slow down and hold.
Recon headed back towards the center, we shall see if it has strengthened any more.
