Which team will out-tank the other?
Which team will out-tank the other?
No matter how bad OKC is, it seems like it's always a fight with them.
It might be interesting to note who sits out tonight. I get the feeling that there are more moves coming for the Spurs.
And of those who don't sit out tonight, who is having a showcase game?
Forbes had a recent flourish which in hindsight makes me think he knew trade talks were underway. If say Lonnie for example goes off it might make me wonder if his ears are burning?
Time for another okc is tanking we should beat them but SGA never misses a shot so we lose game.
Dammit I'm in...for no other reason that it's impossible for bryn to see the floor now which means more Devin and Primo
how many times have the tanking Thunder beaten the Spurs the last few seasons? This is another L tbh.
OKC is awful this season. They’re in full-on tank mode, unlike the Spurs. This is a dub tbh.
Thunder always show up against the Spurs for some reason. They'll probably come out firing like 90% from three.
Should be an easy win....but there is apparently no such as an "easy win" this season.
Spurs Injuries: Tre Jones (OUT- COVID-19), Zach Collins (OUT - On Assignment), Bryn Forbes (GONE )
Thunder Injuries: Kendrich Williams (OUT - COVID-19)
It’s always hard to predict how Spurs play against tanking teams. But players could have a positive reaction to Bryn trade. Spurs by 18pts
With the loss of Forbes, I'm going with Spurs by 20+ tbh
he took 675 minutes this year that could have gotten Primo experience
Primo still assigned. More minutes for Walker and Vassell for the time being.
Lonnie will need to really capitalize these opportunities or he’s gone, I think.
Completely agree. Not holding my breath. He has had unlimited opportunity these last few seasons. Too much talent and a great at ude to be out of the league but something isn’t clicking here.
Unlimited opportunities? This the first year he had not played with DDR Mills Gay and LMA gunning for their last nba contracts. I'd say before this year his opportunities have been VERY limited. Pop even bought Forbes back to eat into some of his minutes.
He started half of the season last year 25+ minutes a game with a long leash. Minutes are down this year because he still hasn’t put it together. No one would be mad at him for being selfish. He can’t finish at the rim, is a below average defender and often looks lost on both sides of the ball. Time to move on.
Is there a version that says "IT ALREADY HAPPENED"?
the post Forbes era begins!
We could be just getting started though
There you go. Lonnie will get the minutes. Lonnie needs to go medieval every night. Let’s go Lonnie!
Forbes traded yet Primo still stays in Austin. It does feel like Lonnie is getting the green light in a big way. Plus the Manu mentorship and we could be seeing the fast tracking development of Lonnie here. Either way Spurs will know what they have in him after this opportunity at a closer extended look.
Lonnie is very mental so I hope the extra focus doesn't bug him out. I say let it fly no one is waiting over your shoulder anymore you know? And maybe that was the problem all along.
