COVID is objectively dangerous. It's an airborne disease roughly as contagious as measles that has killed a million Americans in two years and has debilitated millions more.
That's not porn, that's just factual.
The million dead in two years makes COVID the third leading cause of death in the US today. That's more than US deaths in all wars, more than all US automobile deaths.
Before 2019, it killed no one we know of.
Can you name another emergent threat to life and quality of life as serious? Not rhetorical.

Prior infection by COVID is a significant comorbidity, and not just for subsequent infection by COVID. Leaving heart disease, renal disease and clotting issues completely aside, COVID-related T-cell depletion *might* leave people more susceptible to cancer. Anecdata only on this so far, hope it doesn't pan out.

if the hypothesis that COVID deranges the immune system is sustained, we're likely to see more susceptibility to a large number of pathogens particularly given the probability of repeated infection, globally. And that's leaving out all the strongly correlated systemic problems -- clotting, heart disease, renal disease, neurological complications, ME/CFS type stuff.
The monkeypox outbreak in Europe is almost all gay guys traced back to a "festival" in Copenhagen.
