This is huge. I wanted SA to do more win now moves and I was gold with using picks to win now. The fact they kept all key youth and no picks?! I’m very happy. Had the off season as c+ and now A.

I don’t want to mortgage future unless it’s for a young all star; this is the best case with being responsible. It’s on next year.

Other than he’s both of those, spot on
He's 412th in DRPM with a -1.17. Is Spurstalk getting stupider by the minute or is it just my imagination?

y'all really excited for Marcus Morris? Not a perimeter defender, not a 3pt shooter... what am I missing here?
man the past few days I've seen everyone get excited over guys that I wouldn't even want on my 2k team.

I'm okay with it even if Bertans breaks both legs next summer in a tragic marshmallow juggling accident.

I just want it on record that I was the first to say that the Spurs would definitely not do anything in free agency, until near the trade deadline.

Carroll and Morris were as good as I could have hoped for, on what the Spurs had to spend. There's still a bit of logjam in the backcourt, especially since most of them are 3P challenged. But I like the talent and depth. I'd give this offseason an A now.

When all you've got is the MLE and whatever you can get for Bertans, you aren't going to be signing any top tier FA's. Carroll and Morris are solid. The team is definitely better than last year. It should be fun to see just how much better.

Curious if Pop will slide Demar back to the 2, at least for some lineups. Definitely more flexibility now on the team.

Keldon Johnson probably not excited about this, but this should help his development.

DeMarcus for 3.5M is better than Morris for 10M and statistics back that up.

Offseason isn't an A til either Patty or Forbes are moved. Those two on the court together are easy runs regardless of who else you put out there with them.

"Pulling off" a Marcus Morris signing. It's depressing to be a Spurs fan. Is he even the good twin?

“For me, it’s not really about the loss. It’s about the at udes that we’re playing with," Morris said. "Guys are hanging their heads. It’s just not fun. It’s not fun. We’re not competing at a high level. Even though we’re winning, it’s not fun. I don’t see the joy in the game. I watch all these other teams around the league and guys are up on the bench, they’re jumping on the court, they’re doing all of this other stuff that looks like they’re enjoying their teammates’ success, they’re enjoying everything, and they’re playing together and they’re playing to win. And when I look at us, I just see a bunch of individuals.”

This is exactly the guy we need. I don't know how people think he's a locker room cancer

Morris and Carroll are the best players to mentor him tbh

    I like the Morris signing
Carrol is a Spurs culture for but runs very hot and cold but either way adding defense and toughness was smart tbh

He's a good example of a guy who has continued to improve. At the beginning of their careers, everyone said Keef was much better. Not so much now.

He's a good 3P shooter, not a specialist/sharpshooter, but more than enough to force defenses to honor it. He's a solid defender, night in and night out - again, maybe not a specialist, but solid. A lot of his career he's split time between SF and PF. In the last few years he was a full time SF in Detroit, and a full time PF in Boston. He's played some small ball C. And he definitely brings toughness that the Spurs seem to be chronically short of. He can create his own shot - less than half his FGA's are assisted. He's not foul prone or a turnover machine.

I know people love to , but damn. For the MLE, in this market, he's a of an addition.

Dude is as good as it gets as a role player on offense. Has a good 3 pt shot, comfortable when stepping in and taking mid range shots, finds people in the post for a nice pass. Great signing.
