vaccination should never be quick. This virus creates an immune response in some individuals that can not be explained yet. That would suggest something unique in those patients, perhaps genetic or even previous vaccinations. A rushed vaccine could be harmful for those people.

The vaccine itself will not contain the virus.

Hardly any vaccines even contain attenuated viruses anymore.

Now you could be right if just some simple protein causing all these problems but that is very unlikely imo.
And the usual suspects that react to vaccines anyway should not be getting vaccinated.


And quick is a relative term. It has taken many years to get vaccines that have the least number of side effects.
But at the same time, we know a lot more about how to make them and potential pitfalls.

I am hopeful. Mostly because its all ive got right now.
We may just have to live with this thing for a number of years.
And our health care system under orange man CANNOT bear this burden unless, hospitals, doctors, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc... wont come after payment from individuals who have used them.

my wife works in a lab.
The doctors come in all the time and they are very worried.
some of these doctors thankfully are very curious and are trying to get a better diagnostic feel for what this virus has in common person to person. The hematology people in the lab seem to think the virus causes a very similar type of weird white blood cell to show up

I am thankful for all the medical workers that are corresponding with each other to try to get a grasp of what is going on. too bad we don’t have the leader ship to get a more coordinated effort

Sobering to see the hospital most of my family has been using for decades in such dire straits, especially when we're still so early in this. I can't imagine what the place is going to look like in 3-4 weeks. Well I can, refrigerated trucks like New York or death panels like Italy.

Methodist is not overwhelmed at the moment. Busy but not overwhelmed.

Wife has practiced there 23 years. She's on the call up list so I'll know when they are overwhelmed.

Yesterday the senior partner came in to assure her that they would cover her practice should Methodist call her up. She thought "what a nice gesture" until last night when she it occurred to her "oh did he hear something"
