Nobody really needs the Micro SD if you have enough space. The removable battery may be a dealbreaker for some, but that's why they created the juice packs

You will pay more to have more on board storage

Yes external Micro SD cards are not free, they are not expensive either, but you can always find them at good prices

As for the removable battery, Samsung ones are good anyway, I've never had to replace it

sd cards are cheap these days for mobile storage...now if only a phone had a USB port...lol those 2tb storage devices hooked up to a phone will be a game changer

s6 was a step back imo no sd card slot, no removable battery, no water resistance, higher resolution screen but same sized battery, etc etc

Well the only thing HTC has over S6 is the SD.
FF speakers too, but it's not like everyone use their phone speakers regularly.

M9 is not IP67 certified either and doesn't have removable battery
And HTC removed OIS from the camera (WTF)

And the S6 has a much better camera and the early benchmarks are better than the M9's too

As for the same sized battery, I agree, but the S6 has a better processor than the S5, so it may help in that regard (too early to tell)

    32 64 128 GB

I mean not a fan of the move but I think that's enough storage to go around for system files, apps and some music and movies. The only thing I hate about Kimchisung is they say that their phones have 64 and 128 GB storage capacity variants but they never deliver on their word. Kind of false marketing but I hope that this time they deliver on it. I would pay a little more premium just to get my hands on a 128 GB Note 5.

No SDC, no removable battery -- those are compromises that they had to make to make the device as premium as it is. I know the HTC M9 was able to integrate those with its premium design, but nobody gives a about the HTC.

Every filesystem supported under linux, it depends on the device.
You'll probably have a mix of ext(3/4) probably exFAT for SD Cards.
It depends on what you need this information for.

going to buy a 4tb hdd and format, dont know what system the other hdd which runs android as a OS

going to clone the 2tb of karaoke data over to the 4tb so i can update 3months of songlists about a couple of gigs...

if i clone a hdd, i dont need to setup a new file system during a format right? the clone program will do it for me when it copys the 2tb

You don't need to format anything, in those cases the whole par ion is cloned.
The one thing you will have to to is to extend the par ion and the filesystem once it has been cloned.

You'll probably need something like http://gparted.org/ for this.

I was looking at the S7 but I got the S6 yesterday

The S7 is still expensive on contract while the S6 was at 0$ with my carrier (Rogers)

On their website it was $99 but I still went to the closest Rogers store and they had it at 0$

I'm giving my S5 to my dad - because he has a very old iPhone that runs like **** - so I didn't want to splash 250 bucks on a new phone

Pretty nice phone; sure it doesn't have water-dust resistance, removable battery and expendable storage but it has IR blaster (the S7 doesnt) and the camera is still better ( needed OIS as I don't have steady hands) than the S5 one. Dem night shots
Also that fingerprint scanner is good

(I just have to wait for MM - lol my S5 is already running MM )

One of the 1st things I did was go to the Samsung theme store and install the dark material theme

    No more blinding white background
