no, NE targeted him all game..

He had a lot of tackles, he was atrocious in coverage..run-stopping safeties are pointless nowadays..
it's true, whenever your safety is racking up tackles, it doesn't mean he's good, it just means the defense sucks.

The Arizona Cardinals' two leading tacklers this year were their two starting safeties.

Pretty sure the offense and defense after the coin flip had something to do with it.
    Thats completly missing the point.

I'm not saying he didn't suck. The entire defense sucked, but at least he was the only one that could muster a couple of positive plays on that end.

I honestly still don't know how Peyton and Eli beat these guys 5 times.
    “how did Eli beat them”

the giants scored 17 points in the SB win. It was their front 4 doing all the heavy lifting. At least the first time

Shows how ty the new breed of gimmick QB is, when 40 year olds outplay them every year, because they actually know how to read defenses and coverage and pass the ball rather then run around and throw long bombs.

5 blacks QB's, all 5 failed to reach the SB. In the end the SuperCam curse was just too much to overcome. May they rest in peace

Patriots converted 3 3rd and longs on that drive, all against the white safety

White players should be QBs, offensive linemen, kickers, punters, quick catch receivers and TEs..anything else and you're wasting a position..
    what about ILB's?

in the end, cold weather & playoff pressure was yet again the downfall of the black QB.

I feel bad for Andy Reid tbh, such a great coach who hasn’t been able to get over the hump. He’s KG in the Duncan era

Only way to stop Brady/Belichick/McDaniels is with a historic pass rush(Giants, Broncos)..not just great, but HISTORIC..you can't stop them with anything less, not even with a great scheme since they've already seen everything..

Philly didn't stop Brady, he dominated that game..I'm pretty sure he had like 400 yards

It wasn't historic, but Philly's pass rush was pretty good. The game against Philly was basically sealed because up the middle pressure led to a Brady fumble.

IMO you can beat them with just a pretty good (not historic) pass rush and a dominant offensive line. You need to dominate in the trenches because you're almost guaranteed to lose the Xs and Os battle.
