It would be so easy for that group to put all the blame on McCarthy, but they don't seem smart enough to. McCarthy is willing to commit to a completely non-functional House that'll very likely cost the GOP up and down the ticket in 2024 just so long as he gets power. That's the epitome of "the swamp". If I were a Republican, McCarthy would've lost my vote. Any Biden-district GOP House member should not be okay with a House with these concessions built in. It's going to make it really hard for them to win reelection if they don't have any policy wins to show their cons uents, and investigating Hunter Biden isn't going to be that.
I would still love to see the term limit bill go to a vote and used by challengers those who vote it down. In general, "cleaning the swamp" has been and will continue to be a sentiment with wide appeal. But because they can't just focus on that without saying stupid or nominating Trump, they have allow dumbasses like Kaisch to try to take the moral high ground and push "Forward Party" ideology that nobody wants.

Aside from the abortion crap, today's non-neocon GOP policy is majority opinion policy in the USA, from draining the swamp with term limits (maybe 12 years maximum for anyone in Congress -- 2 senate terms and 6 house terms, but no more of each for any individual)... energy independence, border security, net zero immigration, cutting government spending... too bad they are terrible at winning elections and actual procedural tasks at governing.
Funny thing is is that the Bush era GOP policy was and still is minority opinion policy across the USA (more wars, more big oil pandering, spend our way out of debt, increase deep state power, let's hand out green cards to boost big tech etc) and yet Bush's GOP kept winning elections until the chickens finally came home to roost in the great big blue tsunamis of 2006 and 2008.

If the GOP platform is "impeach Biden, investigate Biden and Hunter's laptop and Hillary, investigate Merrick Garland and the DOJ, and federally ban abortion, oh and for the of it let's audit 2020 some more" then that's an incompetent platform.
If the GOP platform is "all pipelines including Keystone XL are a full go, energy independence, stop relying on foreign oil, use an rust law to break up big tech and end Internet censorship, term limits on Congress/Senate, shut down the border ergo send all illegal migrants back home, reverse inflation with sequestration + interest rate hikes and reducing the national debt instead of continuing to increase it..." then that is a COMPETENT platform.
