Spurs Injuries: Devin Vassell (knee - OUT),

Warriors Injuries:
JaMychal Green (leg - OUT), James Wiseman (ankle - OUT), Jonathon Kuminga (foot - OUT)

The San Antonio Spurs are playing at the Alamodome after 21 years, before what would be a historical over 64k attendance, playing against no other than the depending champs Golden State Warriors. Just for today, I want the Spurs to win. Let’s go Spurs!

thats awesome, i'm actually pumped.
i wish i could go to the game, it would be fun. dealing with the downtown traffic, great times.

but like OP said, lets try and get this win that would be great!

then lose 14 straight after this.

The Alamodome was already a ty enough place to watch a game in its basketball configuration. Now lol 64,000 people paying to watch a game in its football configuration.

Yeah, I was on the fence about buying tickets...mostly just to say I attended the record setting game. Spurs are probably gonna get blown out.

That said, I wasn't gonna drop big bucks to do it and don't really feel like watching a game of ants from the nosebleeds, nor do I feel like driving from Austin through traffic or springing for a hotel.

Pretty cool they got the record though.

Were tickets 3 for 1?
How did they pull this off?

Who wants the Spurs to win in front of 64k fans? Well I’m sure half of them would be bandwagon Dubs fans

I wish I could fly to SA for this. Go Spurs Go!

I don't get it, the cheapest seats I could find were $20 in the upper deck way the away from the court.

Man Spurs fans are lucky. Those are $95 here at Lakerstown

An upper deck ticket at Staples Center is far far superior to an upper deck ticket at the Alamodome, especially in football configuration.

Those must be seats that were $5 a ticket when you brought a sprite can to the box office back in the mid to late late 90’s

This is hilarious. Now just to win 1 or 2 games by 60 pts to make our pt differential look decent.

Never thought the upper deck seats in the Dome in basketball configuration were too terrible. Certainly not great, but you could still generally tell what was happening.

All of that open space on the floor looks disgusting though. This is the same configuration as Final 4 I assume?

Have arrangements been made to bring in 64K X 4 Whataburgers?
Footlong burritos?

San Antonio problems.

It's been open for 30 years, but the Alamodome still hasn't figured out how to host an event. I remember UTSA games where concessions were out of food at halftime or just simply closed. There was a Metallica show where they completely sold out of beer before the band even started. I expect plenty of drama around this one... maybe even a water cannon just for good ol' times.

More concerning is however is the Cayote reaching the upper-deck with his t-shirt launchers

I saw the 2007 Spurs Riverwalk Championship Parade afterparty at the Alamodome and I saw the 2008 Final Four Championship Game at the Alamodome too.

The Spurs Parade Afterparty saw Bruce Bowen hog the microphone lol and of course the 2008 Final Four I saw Mario Chalmers hit a game tying three with seconds left on the clock over Derrick Rose with CDR recovering with help D.

Also saw some college football at the Alamodome A&M vs Army. And I saw the Texas State High School Marching Band State Finals at the Alamodome too.

No, even the Final Four 2008 was in basketball configuration too. With the court smashed all the way to one side and a big blue curtain cutoff down the middle.

Not sure why tonight is in football configuration, that will be extremely limited visibility for the nosebleeds

The 2018 Final Four in San Antonio had attendance of 68,000, so it must have been in Football configuration.

Found this photo of it... looks like they did a much better job of spacing the seats on the floor.

Edit: that might be a mock up... this looks like a real photo:

I wonder which ABA players would be in attendance. I wish they had the old ABA jersies for tonight’s game
