he reminds me of shaun livingston.
Reminds me more of a more athletic Jamal Crawford. Hopefully he continues to develop that jumper.

    Quote from ESPN (I'm sold!):

While Murray possesses elite size (6-foot-5 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan), athleticism, and a knack for playing instinctively and uninhibitedly, the Spurs understand they're taking on somewhat of a project in the raw guard. Murray set a freshman record for assists (151) at Washington, drew five fouls per 40 minutes and displayed an aggressive mentality as a rebounder (six per game). He also averaged 16.1 points as a freshman in a compe ive Pac-12.

Also saw this post on reddit about Murray from someone that went to UofW

I watched every game that Murray played live, I go to his school. He attacks the rim really well, he slithers his way to the rim, no matter how many people guard him. His jump shot is very raw tho, he can make 3s but is very inconsistent. He really needs to work on his FTs, we lost a game because he missed tons of FTs, cant rmb how many, but a lot of them. Overall, Id say he has the potential to be a good player, he has good athleticism and ability to attack the rim, once he works on his jump shot, he'll be really good

Another Husky here, and Dijon Mus can straight up ball. Biggest thing missing from his game is jump shot. Can be a space cadet on defense as well. I believe his weaknesses are things the spurs are well do ented at fixing/developing. You guys got a good one here.
Respectfully, I don't care about the "scouting report" of some reddit loser.

nor Chad Ford. He was a PG in college with a 4apg 3TOpg average. Thats bad. 66% ft thats bad. 28% 3pt that's bad.

The deal is he does what say needs - attacks the rim. But its ISO garbage and ill advised shots. To make matters worse, his game is driving and attacking but he can't make a ft?

I would have selected Demetrius Jackson, but am not as bummed with this pick as it actually addressed a need.

well, he was invited to the green room and he shares the same agent as LeBron James. So clearly other folks had high expectations for Murray.

At #29, looks like a steal to me! He's going to be better than Cojo. He's taller and has a ton of moves at 19. You just never know if he'll grow 1 or 2 more inches!

If he grows 1 or 2 more inches that would be perfect IMO, then thickens out a little bit too. He will be able to LOCK DOWN smaller guards with ease IMO, could be a real asset on that end.

Pretty excited with this pick. I guess his potential is a poor man's Jamal Crawford or Tyreke Evans... he's smaller and his handles don't look nearly as good as those two though, he dribbles it kind of high and awkwardly but it works. Needs work on his jumper but gets to the basket a lot and has a nice floater. Maybe Shaun Livingston?

In his first game he looked like the most NBA-ready player on the SL team.

Dude is ready to start. I don't care if he can't shoot. That comes with time. He can get to the rack by himself. Imagine if he actually got some pick n roll action.

I assume you mean start for the SL team. I agree. Kyle needs to be sent home and Murray and Forbes need to be the starting backcourt. I'd love to see heavy doses of Hanlan and Decosey as well, because I think there might be another guard spot open if Simmons doesn't start to show some signs of maturity.
