"Well I didn't downplay it. I actually, in many ways, I up-played it in terms of action"
I’m beginning to think Biden should agree to this Rogan debate, Trump looks like when it’s not a press conference he can simply walk away from if it’s not going well.
Trump is going to WALK from the second debate which has always been in this type of format. He’s probably doing the first and third where he only has to deal with moderators.
If so then the first debate will basically decide the election, which is good for Biden imo. Most mail in ballots and early voting is going to take place between the 1st and the 3rd debate.
The one thing about Biden is he knows his limitations, he’s going to take debate prep as seriously as possible and will listen to his staff. Trump’s already said he’s not doing any real debate prep.
he’s completely lost the edge he had in the 2016 campaign when he could pull a rabbit out of a hat to win debates.
Biden has a town hall on Thursday on CNN.
It’s a perfect setting for him.
Hopefully tonight doesn’t wake Trump up and make him realize he’s actually need to prep for debates.
You had one job with this question, John.
Don't worry. It won't.
Jared Kushner Not Sure Why You Chicken s Are So “Hysterical” About a Virus That’s Killed 195,000 Americans
He also insists “the president was very forthcoming with the American people about what he knew and when he knew it.”
Kushner told Fox News:
“The federal government rose to the challenge and
this is a great success story.
And I think that that’s what really needs to be told.”
In the time
since young Jared claimed that the public health aspect of the pandemic was in the rearview,
almost 140,000 more people have died in the U.S.
Kushner told Savannah Guthrie that people should be thanking their lucky stars that a guy like Donald Trump is in charge right now.
“All the different challenges that people were hysterical about,
whether it was governors or the media, we worked with them very closely, and again,
it was very good to have an entrepreneurial president who doesn’t do things in a bureaucratic way.
He ran to all the different problems…
He confronted them seriously.”
“President Trump is not part of this ‘let’s lock down for perpetuity,’”
... Kushner explained, despite the fact that the question was about wearing masks and practicing social distancing in public.
I think that we’re seeing right now the president is leading with regards to the virus.”

Trump hears an earful from voters.
the president traveled to Philadelphia for a town hall, broadcast by ABC, with voters who identified themselves as undecided.
And he heard an earful.
“Why did you throw vulnerable people like me under the bus?”
asked why Trump didn’t support a national mask mandate.
A third asked why he downplayed the virus.
Others asked about
racial injustice,
Trump’s attempts to take away health insurance from people and
his unpresidential behavior.
Trump responded with a flurry of falsehoods to defend himself.
(Here is a Times fact check.)
He blamed Joe Biden for the lack of a national mask mandate.
Trump also said,
“A lot of people think the masks are not good.”
At different points,
he downplayed the virus and
said that he had “up-played” it.
He claimed he was beloved by South Koreans. (His recent approval rating there was 17 percent.)
He said all Americans owned stocks. (About half do.)
And he said the late John McCain,
a war hero who was known in the Senate as an advocate for veterans, didn’t do enough for veterans.
“When @JoeBiden debates Trump, he’ll be faced with what’s on display tonight:
rapid fire falsehoods,
free-ranging personal attacks,
over the top claims of his achievements.”
Laura Ingraham described the event as an “ambush” by ABC.

"Yesterday was arguably
Biden’s best day of state polls since the Republican National Convention
And a new ABC News/Washington Post poll this morning showed
Biden ahead by
6 percentage points in Wisconsin and
16 points in Minnesota.
In 2016, both states were extremely close, and Trump won Wisconsin."

Trump Claims Coronavirus Vaccine May Be Ready Within Four Weeks

She sounds angry as , tbh
The guy who said why did you throw vulnerable people like me under the bus hit much harder, tbh. Trump has no retort to that...not even a semi-reasonable retort. It's the reason he is the under dog as an in bent, which rarely ever happens.
Uh did you listened to what she had to say? Illness from birth, denied coverage because of pre existing condition through no fault of her own. She wanted to know why Trump wants to take that provision from Obamacare away.
Trump accuses Biden of taking performance-enhancing substance
suggested Tuesday that his Democratic opponent Joe Biden has taken drugs to improve his performance in debates.
“something was strange” with what he saw as Biden’s improvement during the Democratic primary season debates.
“He’s taking something (that) you know, gives him some clarity, or whatever,” he said.
Trump repeated his demand that Biden should undergo a drug test before their first of three presidential debates scheduled for September 29.

Trump Is Afraid of a “Massive Tax Bill” If He Releases His Returns

The President’s former lawyer and fixer spoke to CNN about Trump’s taxes on Wednesday.
He suggested they
would show Trump isn’t as rich as he claims
but that wasn’t his primary concern.
“He doesn’t report the income he claims,”
“His wealth is not as significant, and
I imagine they were probably lenient in how they took deductions.”

Trash listing, down in the bow
Trump is desperately trying to distance himself
from his failed presidency
The man who once said, ‘I alone can fix it,’
now wants to recast himself as the president who wasn’t there.
Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee:
“Joe Biden can’t run from his disastrous record responding to the coronavirus,”
“The truth hurts, Joe!”
it’s a kind of weaponized nonsense in which
McDaniel ignores that COVID-19 is devastating America
not just on President Trump’s watch,
but also directly due to his own lethal negligence.
His campaign strategy is weapons-grade mendacity marinated in flop-sweat desperation.
“Truth is a victim in this administration.
I think it’s Orwellian —
the ultimate goal of this president is to get you to disbelieve what you’ve seen and what you’ve heard.”
all Trump can do now is shift the blame for his historic catastrophes.
